āHow are you?ā
āIām fine.ā
Interesting framing hereā¦
Why are motorists the 1st on your list?
Reflection of the state of the country?
Makes a change from cyclists who seem to be some massive criminal syndicate depending on your source.
Or GPās, or immigrants, or lawyers, or devolved government, or local authority, or rail workers, or climate activists, or clean energy. And so on.
We shouldnāt forget the centre right who have actually become socialists by all accounts. Lord knows what that makes actual socialists.
I think itās kind of reflective of how for many people in society, being numerically illiterate is a point of pride. Being good with numbers is ānerdyā, āuncoolā, and so itās best for us all to not know how to deal with them!
Iād like to know what all if these laws are. Clearly about feeding the machine rather than anything actual practical.
Itās not even a product of assumptions, itās a fabrication, itās complete lunacy. That anyone swallows this shit is whatās worrying!
Black hole my arsehole!
EU rules are almost always tied to standards. If you are a firm selling into the EU you have to conform to them whether they are national law or not.
They may as well propose scrapping internet protocols for all the use it will do.
Remember black holes donāt suck
and itās precisely why I voted to remain.
As an engineer we regularly use an enormous amount of standards. There was a huge shift some 15-20 years ago towards European standards for design. I think they took over 10 years to develop. These standards also allow each nation to add their own tweaks to various parameters etc. to capture unique aspects that each nation may wish to specify in a given design.
The mere thought of reversing this and going back to British Standards which will basically say the same thing is basically throwing money over the fence and into the pockets of consultants etc. for zero change or very little benefit.
A cynic would say thatās the goal.
Thatās the goal.
