One massive aspect wthat I don’t think is covered in that report (I’ll double check) is the rules and boundaries that the NHS has to operate in. Procurement, for example, within the public sector is broken. It’s intention is to provide proven value for the tax payer but it fails miserably thanks to too many fences to jump over, the need for competitive tendering on everything over certain values and quite honestly a shit supply chain probably procured on a national basis rather than a local one, or with zero flexibility in it.
A host of other reasons as well but I dispute the low productivity on moral (for example). Just too much shit to deal with other than the core task etc.

A few years ago Blair was a speaker at a conference I was at, here in the States. He was a good speaker. Well briefed, and engaging.
Lost his way with all the Iraq stuff, which was first and foremost tragic, but then also personally deflating, as he was the last politician I truly had some feel for and belief in.
Still, to my mind, Blair is an order of magnitude better than Boris.

Yeah Blair did his research when he wrote a speech for I think it was the Kazakhstan president who ordered a clampdown on protests and a woman died , Blair’s aim was to make her look like a terrorist, was paid apparently £500k for writing it.

Who the fuck pays good money for this? He is a terrible public speaker. It might be vaguely amusing but Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse did this act years ago and were far better at it and, no doubt, far cheaper.
My brother was at some event when Johnson was London Mare (my brother’s spelling!) Apparently he was drunk and incomprehensible. There was some embarrassed laughter in the room which I am assuming that the narcissist took for appreciation of his “speech”.
He asked my brother what he did and took “polymer physicist” do be something that happened in a gym.
I can’t see Britain’s global stature even beginning to crawl off the floor until this vile cretin is removed from society, preferably to a prison cell.

Worth pointing out that this plane is supposed to be an RAF unit which they painted in bright colours to render it useless as a military jet.
