I was going to make the point that they would have to be living as their preferred gender prior to getting the certificate anyway so it’s a rather spurious argument.

Yeah, and it would still not be illegal for a male to enter the female toilets of those buildings nor would it be illegal for a female to enter the male toilets.
There were not any changes to the law in that regards made by this announcement.
