Seriously can’t believe the desperation of some on Twitter over someone not wearing a seatbelt.

Sad

What do you mean by “the desperation”?

I genuinely don’t think anyone gives a shit if Rishi wears a seat belt or doesn’t.

It’s the consistency of applying the law, no matter what it is. Other people have been fined for not wearing a seatbelt, the law is very clear, there is video evidence, so he should be fined.

The fine won’t make any difference to him. It’s the principle.of them lot being exempt from the law.

As far a bullshit reasons for oppressing trans people go, that’s good going. Well done you!

I think you know fine well what I mean, enjoy your day.

I know. I mean, it’s not breaking the law, is it.

Oh no wait. It is.

No, I genuinely don’t.

You could well be meaning people who are desperate for him to get nailed, or to excuse him.

Nice to see your prejudices aren’t affecting your thinking though.

This is probably not the thread for this, but the subject matter has been mentioned in a few of the recent posts… Not sure I am remotely qualified to offer any sort of comment so will leave that to others…!

Thats been going on for a while.
Someone definitely has issues.

Agreed. If it was Jürgen Klopp I’d be highly disappointed, for one.

Wear your damn seatbelts.

Yep, get him charged, I have no fondness for him.
But fuck me, with all the wrong going on in this country, a lot of it on his governments shoulders, people making such a fuss about a bit of a nothing occurrence.

Since you’re such an upstanding citizen, and clearly in favour of Sunak being held to account for blatantly breaking the law, I did a quick search of our post match thread where our own Nunez head butted an opponent. Performed in a high street, a definite law breaking act.
Couldn’t see any mention though, so perhaps a bit of double standards going on there to suit whatever agenda is flavour of the month/year/decade?

See above.
Nothing to do with prejudice, he’s nothing to me either way.
But if dishing out the prejudice card to anyone who doesn’t share your views makes you feel better, knock yourself out.
My skin is way too thick to allow snowflakes to get under it.

I meant prejudice as to my intentions for asking that. Not Sunak. Funnily enough I agree completely with what you’re saying, only with the caveat that as Prime Minister he should not be normalising the breaking of the law.

We’ve gone past that point recently

Fair enough.
But it doesn’t matter who he is, it’s a very minor offence, which is probably acted upon and ignored daily in equal measure by our fine law enforcement officers.

Never been on a campsite? As far as talking shit goes, well done you.

I agree that on the scale of shit Sunak has done, this is trivial. But I don’t agree this is nothing.

He is the Prime Minister, and a PM breaking the law - on anything - is noteworthy.

Nicely swerved

I love camping. I’ve found people tend to use the shower block for washing, rather than having full kit off scrub down over a sink of water. I don’t know what kind of ‘experience’ you are a looking for on the campsite, but each to their own…

I just get a little bit tired of the ‘what if…’ scenarios when it comes to the trans debate. Very few of them have any merit when it comes to real life, and it’s just speculation masking prejudice. There are very few situations where we can’t just exercise kindness and let people live as they want to.
