UK Politics Thread (Part 2)

You are very fond of calling out others for selective quoting…

I do love it when people declare that have won the argument. How convenient.

As for upsetting you, you are constantly getting miffed and people calling you out on your opinions

Rightwing bingo #24 Throwing around their offensive, ill-informed opinions without a care in the world, but as soon as someone says a mean word they have a strop. Snowflake, I think the word is.

Popular trait.

Regarding the seatbelt. Anybody considered it was intentional? Thought process being what’s the lightest infringement of the law he can admit to instantly and get a light slap on the wrists. Puts him front and centre and shows he’s not teflon boris. Actually pretty clever if it was intentional.

So we’ve heard in here that not wearing a seatbelt and getting your second fixed penalty notice in a year is not a big deal.

Here is the chair of the Tory part trying to

The bare faced affrontery of it. Getting rumbled like this should be instant removal from public life.

Michael Gove was doing the rounds in the media yesterday. Defending him because it’s good that he paid his taxes in the end, and better than him not paying at all.

They either don’t get it, or they are laughing in our faces.

That’s an…erm…interesting take.

I don’t think it’s as clever and just not getting your second fixed penalty notice in a year, to be honest.

It really, really isn’t.

Now this, they should throw the fucking book at him for

Wow And you say you don’t support the Conservatives?

Look at the alternative. He records a speech in the back of a car to his social media team and nobody noticed?

That’s what you get when you actually think about a situation and look for the money. Conversation about it on LBC, 5 Live, probably the shite daytime TV programs. No such thing as bad publicity. The more I think about this, the more I’m sure they meant it. Call me cynical…… Just not old

That name’s taken sorry

It’s backfired then, because his personal approval rating have been walloped by it.

Nobody’s consulted me so it’s not a true picture of the country as a whole. Remember, we weren’t voting for BREXIT due to opinion poles? Something about some people not admitting to things for fear of being criticised for it. Not an issue I’ve ever had.

So far not heard anybody else voice this. Wait for the opinion pieces in the papers tomorrow. Not that I read any of them, only buy the Times for the crossword.

Ironically, most people’s opinions to my posts is NOOOOO!!!

Actually, opinion polling immediately before the referendum suggested that it was too close to call, with most polls in late May/early June showing a lead for Leave.

In the 10 main polls immediately before, only 3 had a leave majority. And the last one, the largest sample size, gave 55% remain.

Nah. It’s just idiotic.

This to me suggests that it was really even right up to it. And if you believe in momentum, then it’s quite clear Leave had the momentum.

Of course there’s always a margin of error, even when you’re averaging polls (which you should do rather than cherry-picking any one).

You can have Ironic if you like.

Nowt wrong with a different opinion by the way, provided it’s well reasoned and factually correct.
