Lampard to the rescue then?

This is incredibly disappointing by the British
Broadcasting Corporation. Pathetic clamp down on Free Speech of it’s employees.

Is the BBCs only way out an apology from them to Lineker, instead of him apologising for his tweet?

Lineker is not even an employee of the BBC, he is a freelancer.

He also runs a production company called Goalhanger which produces a series of highly successful and often quite political podcasts. In that role it is not unreasonable that he may make the occasion political comment.

As has been already pointed out, The BBC had no problem with Andrew Neil running the Spectator while employed by the BBC. They had no problem with Alan Sugar tweeting increasingly hysterical, and actually offensive, anti-Corbyn memes while employing him.

What an own goal from the real anti-free speech snowflakes.

My god they’ll be cartwheeling in the isles.

And Clarkson

Shockingly Clarkson is actually supporting them on this one.

Bring back David Icke!

Piers Morgan too what is the world becoming?

Yes, he is not a lefty, is he ? But even that obnoxious man is reacting to this increasingly absurd sensitivity crap from the BBC.
