His defence, as the fucking PM, is that ‘well everyone else didn’t realise it either’. Fuck I hope he goes down hard.
Isn’t this a wonderful example about someone discovering themself?
I suppose the opposite is also possible or even hiding things; it certainly was in the past given how persecuted gay people were.
I can easily see how sexuality may not necessarily be a hard line but something that some people may have to grow into and that eventually becomes who they are. As long as they are happy and accepted it’s all good as far as I’m concerned.
He already lost the most prestige’s job in the in the UK with all humiliation that comes with that what more do you want?
Yes. The general consensus is that sexuality is fixed but it does get somewhat muddied by bisexual people. Generally people are sexually attracted to particular types of people. Someone who is heterosexual isn’t going to be attracted to everyone of the opposite sex and the same applies to others. However, the amount of attraction that someone has to a particular type of person remains constant.
There was research done on a group of people who were born male but who had deformed genitalia. They had reconstructive surgery and brought up as girls but nearly all of them were attracted to women in later life. I’ll see if I can fine the paper for that.
Whataboutism
I’m happy to answer the question, but you are going to have to explain to me why you are asking it. What has importance got to do with anything in this context? We’re talking about whether your sexuality is a choice, or whether your political leanings are not (you’ve been very evasive on clarifying your point).
I don’t know what you are getting at, but for me I attach much greater weight to my politics than my sexuality. I spend more time thinking and talking about politics than I do my sexuality.
But no doubt that is because as a straight man my sexuality has never been an issue. I’ve never been discriminated against or attacked because of who I fancy. I’ve never felt scorn or shame. I’ve never felt the need to hide my sexuality. If I were gay then obviously I would attach far more importance to expressing my right to my sexuality. As a straight man I’ve never felt that.
I’m really not sure what this has got to do with issue you’ve raised. This will be the third time I’ve asked, but you’ve still not answered. Are you saying sexuality is a choice? Or your political beliefs aren’t a choice?
Can’t we have a sexuality thread? (maybe merged with the masculinity thread) It’s not a UK specific topic and maybe not the most pressing political issue in Britain today.
No, I haven’t. My only experience that I can be sure of is my own. I fancy women, if you want to pigeon hole me, I’m a heterosexual. I can appreciate a handsome man, Craig as Bond for example. I’d imagine he’s in many ladies’ (and gentlemens’) thoughts at special times. Literally not my cup of tea (like what I did there?) So I know what I like and and know what I want. Is it a choice? No. Is it an opinion? No. Is it an instinct? In my book yes. Does it make sense to me? Yes. Does it arouse strong feelings in me? Yes. Could the same be true for a different person about anybody? YES!!!
Same answers for being to the right, I just don’t get aroused although I have knocked a few out over May’s legs. Erm……
Like Bekloppt said , can we just draw a line under this now , or at least take it elsewhere. It really has become ineffably tiresome.
Back in the real world , it would appear that Johnson’s defence of being told that everything was hunky dory with his little shindigs rests upon the corroboration of some of his aides and communications team , but crucially Simon Case , the guy in charge , denies giving any such assurances.
Johnston reminds me of the toddler who, despite the fact that he has chocolate smeared all over his face, insists that he didn’t steal the cake. It’s funny on a 2 year old. After that, it’s deeply tragic.
What surprises me is the number of figures both in parliament and the media that are still supporting him.
It’s awful that tax payers money to the tune £220k has been used to fabricate a defense that amounted to “I did not know what a party was” “and no one told me”. This was then put together into a document full of spelling errors and the like.
Rotten.
Some might find him sexy
Maybe because their ex PM exudes plenty of sexiness
Bozo telling the truth? There’s a first time for everything, I suppose.
Just watched a couple of minutes.
He is confident and he has charisma, I will give him that. Credibility and sincerity though…FMD…
That statement from an Eton teacher about him being affronted when questioned on something, it just makes perfect sense.
I do not believe a word out of his fat mouth.
I’ve been watching it too until the break and he is well spoken and he is defending himself well.
Confidence and charisma will take you a long way.
Pity he is the emptiest of empty vessels…
