Haha @SBYM

Khan is officially declared. Looking really tight in West Midlands. I know people who have been working on the mayoral campaign there, and the Tory’s have requested bundle checks. You don’t do that if you are winning.

I expect the BBC to lead on the Teeside result.

Why rush to judgement, when something could come along that might help them? No point in fighting a battle you know you lose, so you delay.

Who/what is RA?

Residents Association. Not sure who they are though

Edit - they appear to be a collective of independents?

England local elections 2023: The rise of the independents - BBC News

Sky news saying Labour have won the West Midlands Mayoral election - if true massive blow for conservatives as Andy Street was fairly popular and respected.

Houchen won his election but there is always a whiff of scandal in the air over the way deals have been brokered in regards to the new trade zones they have in the North East…

So, the wrong Tory lost?

John Curtice’s hair on BBC News right now is deadset gold.

He looks like Doc Brown.

Looks like it’s official now.

Labour win West Midlands.

She’s getting absolutely slaughtered on X right now, and rightly so.

Fucking disgraceful she went off like she did last night…Trumpian levels of shenanigans.

A Conservative candidate shows up at A&E with his dick stuck in a Hoover attachment.

The doctor sees him and says, “don’t worry, Sir, we’ll just remove this and save you any more embarrassment.”

The doctor takes off his blue rosette.

Tweeting absolute horseshit with no basis whatsoever, basically parroting Tory fantasies.

Maybe she’s psychic and did know something 12 hours before they even started counting the votes?

Fucking outrageous for someone in her position, but unfortunately par for the course.

Actually, that sentiment was also in the Grauniad, based on the turnout dropping in Inner and Central London, while staying the same in Outer London, compared to 2021.

What you’ ve described is reasonable political speculation.

What LK wrote is Tory spin.
