It should be a straight red

People like Owen Jones are ten a penny on the left. Anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their personal view of social democracy is indistinguishable from Hitler, they have absolutely no idea how politics works, and they would rather Labour were in opposition doing 0% of what they want rather than in power doing 50% of what they want.

And so it begins. Yeah, too many prisoners, let’s discuss it and let a load out as it’s not really their fault.

Better see a doctor soon for those swollen testicles

That could be positive if he means policies to integrate offenders into societies by training and education so they see more than one way of surviving in the world because re-offenders often go back to crime because they are discriminated against when they get released, so for certain groups of prisoners, there is a need for society to be educated about accepting back and for the prisoners to learn about integrating back into societies.

But if he means like what they do in the US where the police don’t give a shit about certain crimes like walking into a shop and stealing anything below $900, then the society will go to shit. No arrest, no prisoners.

However I think UK is not as dumb as that, I am sure, and hope it’s the former.

Read somewhere 4 years would see the lot back where they should be.

Good move. Recidivism is a real problem, and if there’s a plan to reduce it, everyone wins.

Too many prisoners cycle in and out, without rehabilitation, training, or any ongoing work to reduce the chances of reoffending.

I don’t know whether that is done in the UK but here for certain groups of prisoners, there are private companies who were allowed to build for example bakery production in the prison and they work inside those facilities for a market salary, so that by the time they are released, they already have a nice pool of savings to get them enough funds for housing, food, transport etc while they look for a job, and they get to learn a skill that is useful in real life

I am fascinated by her. At first I thought the Boris infatuation was a bit of a joke, but it is deadset fucking real…she gives off the vibe of a Swiftie talking about the Eras Tour.

Some pretty disgusting views on display in this article, imo.

It reeks of being the news, rather than reporting the news…the fact that off-shore billionaires actively mould the discourse like this is a fucking disgrace.

59.9% turnout, for those who were asking before. Lowest turnout since 2001 (59.4%), which is the post-war lowest.
