Hopefully it has the same effect as whenever Blair tries one of his interventions on behalf of Labour.
Thought the font suggested so…
All we’re lacking now is Liz Truss!
Pork markets!
Or is that Cameron. I lose track.
We’re screwed being honest. This morning Brexit betrayal headlines have got all the cultists going nuts and then I see Tice spouting the absolute garbage of 0.043% co2 argument.
World is screwed, and we’ll all be skint with it.
You have to view everything through the context of late stage capitalism.
The driver of everything is a system that has created sickening inequality, and a gulf between rich and poor that is immoral, untenable and unsustainable. The objective of the super wealthy and those that represent their interests, is to maintain that status quo, hide the scale of the immorality and distract the population with scaremongering and bogeymen.
I agree but without sinking further how do you turn it roundwhen your neighbour heeds none of the warnings, thinks Reform actually means reform and that we need more co2 to feed plants?
I have no idea. A mallet?
Can’t wait for the accusations of inciting political violence to begin…
.
Doesn’t help that people wont admit to supporting a failure and the fact that Farage is even more slippery and non stick than Boris.
So non stick that if he wasnt so poisonous every frying pan and saucepan could be lined with some Farage.
It’s a problem of human nature. How do you convince someone they have fallen down a Scientology hole? Or all that money they sent to a Nigerian price is never coming back?
When people have gone all in on a con, it’s virtually impossible to argue them out of it.
Oi!!!
That’s my Europa League Final GIF for tomorrow night!!!
Oh, it’s tomorrow night? It’s so irrelevant I couldn’t care less…
I found this article interesting. Perhaps you do too. I think it may be relevant, although the timing is bad since you are happy discussing good news.

It is unfortunate that they are Chinese in origin, but the price is lower, which means that it can easier be within reach of Working Class people, like the article notes. Which also helps with emission targets, of course.
Of course, it is not clear that this is factual, at least yet. But the US has seemingly great leverage after the Trade Deal (which I shall not pretend to know all the details of, as I haven’t read it apart from bullet points).
Heh, just look at the rabidly frenzied reaction to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion, which has been shown (with concrete evidence) to improve air quality and save lives.
I’m also under no illusions that part of a lot of that (mostly Tory/Daily Mail/Torygraph) reaction is a thinly veiled racist response.
I’m sure the brave Brexiteers will be all up in arms over the loss of sovereignty if that was the case.
Sadly, this doesn’t matter in today’s “post factual” world.
The comparison chart in the article is just odd. A couple of the non-Chinese equivalents aren’t even electric (Hyundai Tuscon is Petrol or Hybrid, Ford Puma has an electric version, but that’s not the variant they chose to compare).
Also …
Chinese-made EVs are banned in the US over national security concerns that they could spy on drivers or locations and be remotely manipulated from Beijing to create chaos on roads.
