Ireland announces scheme to provide basic income for artists
The Basic Income for Artists (BIA) project is believed to be the first permanent one of its kind in the world.
Stay classy Jim.
Should apologise to half of Manchester for sacking them. Twat.
Full quote for context.
âBangor University has banned Reform and called us âracist, transphobic and homophobicâ.
âBangor receives ÂŁ30million in state funding a year, much of which comes from Reform-voting taxpayers.
âI am sure they wonât mind losing every penny of that state funding under a Reform Government. After all, they wouldnât want a racistâs money, would they?â
If it looks like a cunt, and sounds like a cuntâŚ
So removing funding from universities has no parallels with 1930âs Germany?
Free speech until we donât like what you say? Plus no plans for a debate. If I invited myself to your living room to give a lecture on fly tying by JR Hartley would you feel that you had to accept?
This was a Reform set up to get their support base frothing, and leaving a nice excuse for cutting university funding regardless. (Assuming they win the next election). University should only be for rich people, no normal lefty people. Heaven forbid the working class get an education.
Keep making excuses.
Didnât take that long for the veil to be removed did it?
Deep down I wonder how he feels about some of the United players?
Just a further thought. This smacks of Farage, offering kick backs for some support and perhaps a donation now.
Ah yes. It looks so much better in context.
My favourite commentâŚ
Tice isnât in Dubai for once? And Farage is at work? Wonders will never cease. Must be expenses claim day.
I noticed this story about supporting the arts sector in Ireland:

The Basic Income for Artists (BIA) project is believed to be the first permanent one of its kind in the world.
Iâm wondering of something similar could operate in the UK. The arts sector has been suffering for years with revenue streams being cut off to the grass roots level. Something like this could help by providing a safety net for artists.
A trial has been proposed in Bristol
I do actually miss that cunt.

Hang on a second.
Did I challenge your post? No! Did I form an opinion on the matter? NO!!
I provided the full quote for context, so that people can form an opinion on what he said. I piggy backed onto your post because you were the original poster.
Anyhow, as you were.
Ah yes. It looks so much better in context.
Like the OP, you seem to be reading too much into my post.

I agree.
I believe there are other Countries like France and Norway that have already implemented similar schemes/funding.
I think the whole Creative Arts sector has suffered from under funding, and in the Music industry, there has been a common trend of venues closing down due to ever increasing business rates and VAT. Thank fully the Government seem to be listening in terms of the Bus. Rates but there is still a lot more the Government, and also the public can do to support.

Calling him a cunt is unfair.

London has been colonised by fighting aged males. Poor Nadhim, this must have been traumatising.
