Rather ironic that Labour has only ever been lead by gammons but Tories have now had 4 women and 2 people of colour⌠canât get my head round that at all.
Well no surprise as you invariably fail to see anyoneâs point but your own which are invariably pointless. 
They havent. Gammon is a term referring to a personâs flushed face, and is not a specific reference to white males.
The wider point about Tories having had more diversity amongst its leaders is an interesting one. The scottish and i think Welsh labour party have had non white leaders i think though.
Perhaps its more reflective of the volatility within the Conservative party having cycled through so many leadership candidates particularly over the last 14 years - or a less diverse philosophy within the party after all Badenoch for example was being backed by the Tufton St mob, and they have probably bled a lot of the more socially/ liberal conservatives from their membership in recent years.

Any bets on Farage being in charge by then? Unless of course the people of Clacton figure out that heâs claimed a shed load of expenses and done eff all for them.
Truss, Badenoch and Jenrich are the result of Tufton st having too much say combined with a lurch to the right which is evident across the globe.
Its mental that RW politics has lead to an increase in poverty while the rich get even richer and this leads to the political spectrum shifting towards more of it.

No its not. Its an insult based on their face becoming flushed when arguing, not on their actual skin colour.
If it were to be deemed a racist term, its not because of skin colour but the underlying cultural imagery of the persons it is often being used for.

Itâs actually from Dickens and he called it a âgammon tendencyâ which was when an individual would become flushed with misplaced patriotic pride.
