Without people feeling that weight of judgement how does society progress?
Take slavery. There is an assumption that as slavery is such an obvious moral wrong, it was dead easy to get rid of, but we forget that in the 18th century slavery was not only mainstream - it was by many people considered to be the natural order. For slavery to end a lot of people had to be brought round to understand its immorality and I’m not sure how that happens without a certain amount of judgement being directed towards its proponents.
That sense of approval/disapproval, whether felt or directed, has been a major shaper of societies for 200,000 years. There are behaviours that you approve/disapprove of, and the idea that you can go through life never judging people or making assumptions about their character is not only ridiculous, it’s kind of silly to want to.
I’ve just come over from another thread. So what’s the crack here then?maybe someone could sum up the political majority in here? Is it an equal split of opinions or more to the left or right generally?

You ducked answering my questions about specific, demonstable issues created by men from these cultures, which I fully expected as it can’y be defended rationally. Even the BBC reported one of the examples I gave you.
Seeing as I don’t believe all immigration is equally good or bad. People can be wildly different from different parts of the world. Can I simply ask you this then.
Do you think immigration from the areas the ‘small boat’ economic migrants are coming from has:
a. Made England a better place
b. Made England a worse place
c. Made no difference
