A Griezmann-Saul swap deal confuses me, surely the supposed motivation for Atletico in letting Saul go is bringing in a cheaper alternative? But in that swap deal surely some money would go to Barca and wages would increase?

Well they have got a cheaper alternative in De Paul, and maybe they think Griezmann is worth spending money on.

But that still doesn’t get Barca around their 200M wage excess they need to cut before they can sign anyone.

Was listening to the True Geordie podcast and they were discussing this and even getting rid of Griezmann, Coutinho, Pejanic and Umtiti would only reduce the wage excess by something like 80M.

Friendly reminder that this is the links only thread…

While Origi has suitors in England and Germany, and while Shaqiri can count the likes of Lazio as admirers, the feeling from inside Liverpool is that permanent interest in Minamino this summer will be minimal, and the club are, as things stand, very reluctant to even consider another loan move.

OK, folks, a little reminder here: there are unreliable and there are downright insultingly unreliable sources. There used to be those like Fichajes, Don Balon and Calciomercato in the latter group but now such sources are closer to home, like Anfield Central, who Klopp basically called out for lying over Gomez, after which they had to issue an apology. Please keep a degree of quality here by steering clear of such sources, thank you.
