I might be the only one, but I think thereâs something very appropriate about these elections falling on Bonfire Night.
Well considering bonfire night has nothing to do with America , I think you may be right, you are the only one
Historians will look back on this as the tweet that won Harris Iowa.
Sheâs not a Liverpool fan, then?
seems a bit like Black Mirrors first episode
Just saw a poll that Harris is getting more black votes than Biden, plus the massive advantage among women.
Apparently still all tied though. How many white dudes are there in that country ffs?
Leave us alone!
We have been downtrodden for too long!!!
He said dudes, not perverts
Donât be shy!
I was just worried you might start supporting fascists now. You know how fragile us white dudes are.
Fragile as.
Iâd have to see more on the DC barricades, but I have spent a lot of time there and additional protections around government buildings are not uncommon.
But itâs worth doing. It is striking both how transparent it is and that the press have completely ignored it, that Trump has given to switching red MAGA for black and gold in recent weeks. Why would you ditch a key part of your branding at a point like this? Because those are the colours of the Proud Boys and this is a move sending up the bat signal
I saw one of the new MAGA hats at the fireworks in Beckenham on Saturday night.
It had the 45-47 thing on the side.
Good pub in Beckenham, called The Bricklayers Arms. Thereâs also an outstanding sausage shop, Villagers.
You would be amazed how common this is. The week before the election the push to knock on as many doors as possible is no longer about convincing people, but stopping people who intend to vote for you falling through the cracks. A good deal of that is simply ignorance over the dates and where they need to go to vote. Every person out in the field in this period as at least one story of âoh, this Tuesday you say? Glad you knocked on my doorâ.
Interestingly, maybe critically, only one party has any meaningful door to door effort going on right now.
Is that right near the Odeon, or further up the High Street? Name rings a bell.
The Bricklayers is directly opposite the Odeon.
