Iâd have to see more on the DC barricades, but I have spent a lot of time there and additional protections around government buildings are not uncommon.
But itâs worth doing. It is striking both how transparent it is and that the press have completely ignored it, that Trump has given to switching red MAGA for black and gold in recent weeks. Why would you ditch a key part of your branding at a point like this? Because those are the colours of the Proud Boys and this is a move sending up the bat signal

You would be amazed how common this is. The week before the election the push to knock on as many doors as possible is no longer about convincing people, but stopping people who intend to vote for you falling through the cracks. A good deal of that is simply ignorance over the dates and where they need to go to vote. Every person out in the field in this period as at least one story of âoh, this Tuesday you say? Glad you knocked on my doorâ.
Interestingly, maybe critically, only one party has any meaningful door to door effort going on right now.
