Interesting that Real Madrid had an 8M buyback clause that they chose not to execute. They also have a 50% sell on clause.

One versatile attacking option I’d love Liverpool to consider is Víctor Muñoz.
Only 22-years-old, he’s rapid and excels in one vs one situations.
He’s a very tenacious player, hard-working. Has a low centre of gravity, quick burst and a powerful physique that allows him to push past opponents with ease.
He’s comfortable receiving with his back to goal, makes excellent turns and a good link-up player as well. Also puts in decent crosses and cut-backs.
Has a very decent shot on him, too.
12 G/As this season may not seem like much but he delivered those numbers while playing in a side who were fighting for relegation.
Has played LW and RW all season. Even played in a central role in the past.
Still raw but he’s got all the ingredients to go very far.
Could be a key player off the bench for Spain at the World Cup. Barcelona have been linked with him but Liverpool should be there, too.

We just HIJACKED Victor Munoz from Newcastle! 
The 22 year old left winger from Spain is right footed and looks set to join Liverpool after his medical is confirmed.
Wow we just EMBARRASSED Newcastle in the Transfer Market again.
First it was Ekitike, now it’s Munoz. Very exciting stuff and the 40 million Euro release fee is a relative bargain in today’s market. 
Looks promising but let’s wait for him to succeed before celebrating too much.

Well, look at that. And our first signing turns out to be a Spanish player—how fitting. I’m really excited; I need to do a background check and watch a whole lot of videos.

He has elite traits, including 3.45 successful dribbles per game - although he does that on just a 48.03% win percentage (bottom 10% in success rate) so he will have to learn to pick his moments. Although I would be willing to forgive him that Osasuna are likely asking him to dribble more often than usual to give them a break defesnviely and launch counter-attacks.
For comparison Rio Ngumoha is on 4.68 dribbles per games with a 70.73% win rate - but in a smaller sample size.
Munoz is also underperforming his xG which indicates he is a poor finisher or will revert to the mean sooner or later. There are few 22 year olds who are actually good at finishing compared to xG so it doesn’t massively concern me at this stage.
He looks like he could be another elite presser, he led all of La Liga in accelerations per game showing he has the ability to repeatedly sprint/press.
Overall I like the signing but I don’t think he is a nailed on starter, and at 40m he doesn’t have to be. Looks like someone we are hoping will add depth for the moment and grow into the role. Also, in Iraola’s system depth will be important.
