It’s not that binary. Iran has supplied Russia with one of the primary terror weapons of that war and has done so on an industrial scale and being totally complicit in how they’ve been used.

It’s air defence. Iran has literally used IRGC personnel to bomb Ukraine, teaching Russian drone crews and you think it is some how bad that Ukraine offers air defence against Russia’s security partner, who has helped bomb them ?
I am a bit amazing tbh. Thought you understood more than this, I have literally written about this many, many times regarding Iranian involvement and why Ukraine must do what it must to survive. Maybe you have discarded all of it. For Ukraine, getting Patriots and hoping the war in the ME ends fast, is kind of a priority above all else. Obviously they also want the Islamic Republic miltiarily degraded. It would be beyond shocking if they did not. You know after all about the Iranian ballistic missiles that Russia used hundreds of while the West refused to supply Ukraine with such missiles, you know of the thousands of Shahed attack drones (I thought). Yet you manage to write this. Absurd.

Absolutely, with a lot of help from other actors who also have agency despite being far from as strong. Intervening in the war on and attacking Israel on behalf of Iran, damn the consequences for Lebanon,was a strategic choice. Not a Lebanese choice, ordinary Lebanese and the Lebanese government begged Hezbollah to be responsible and not throw Lebanon off the cliff, after all.
I intensly loathe all of these actors involved. There is minimum care for the civilian population from anyone in this damnable war.

Also, They have destroyed all of Iran’s aircraft. But for some reason, and this is just typical of the US in this war, they destroy the runways even though Iran currently has no military planes.
I hate everything about this shitshow. No care, what so ever for anything.
Runways are easy to repair, which is why this doesn’t even make sense. Just a symptom of the idiocy. Trump says “biggest bombing run in the war”, so they have to make it big, why not also dig holes in the runway.

I don’t undestand why everyone involved is miscalculating. Nothing makes sense, it is madness. US makes massive strategic mistakes, Hezbollah makes massive strategic mistakes, Israel is about to make massive strategic mistake (because a massive invasion and future occupation of Lebanon all of to the Litani, isn’t going to end well, it certainly hasn’t before), Iran is shooting at literally friendly states because they apparantly needs no friends.
Everyone is fucking mad. Even if you truly hate someone, you are supposed to use your head and think of the consequences a bit longer than until next fucking tuesday, and particularly if you are responsible for a civilian population of massive economies.
Everyone involved treat it as a gladiator game and “face” is stupidly important, except there is collateral everywhere.
