First tanker transacted in yuan has safely transited the Straits. So, on one hand you have Trump bullying US allies to use force to open the Straits (which his own naval advisers have told him (or his staff) is a dangerous and bloody proposition), or simply don’t use USD. It seems like a fairly easy proposition.

It’s still unconfirmed, but I hear our government is looking for ways to build a substantial Yuan reserve. We have huge deficit with China, so not much Yuan (but lots of Dollars)
