More “excellent” news as the IDF layers its buffer zone, getting ready to advance inland.

The buildings are very heroic, so are the thousands of refugees fighting Israel.

Some of the US military bases have been temporarily evacuated staff back to stateside - but the military doesn’t seem to be assisting the evacuees - charitable organizations have to come up with emergency supplies for the evacuees.

For a long time now I have been of the view, contrary to the obviously media led campaign to choose sides, that neither of the existing leaderships of Israel and Iran have anything of worth to offer the world, in fact it would be a better world without them.

Could be another leader worth adding to that list!

Can think of more than one.

It’s an extreme binary way of thinking without fully understanding the untold damage that Hezbollah has inflicted on the Lebanese people. Israel = bad thus anything that opposes them = good. Unfortunately, the world is never that binary and sometimes it’s just bad vs fucking bad.

I mean let’s look at such a convolution; Ukraine being invaded by a hostile power through no fault of their own so we can equate them to being the good guys thus Russia equals bad. Iran supports Russia in this conflict and Russia supports Iran. Israel equals bad, end of. Russia supports Iran who supports Hezbollah who opposes Israel thus Ukraine vis a vis is now… bad? (We actually had someone hinting at that a few weeks ago re the Iran conflict and offering support to counter their drones). People are just not informed enough to disassociate themselves from ‘vibes’ in my honest opinion.

So what do we call it when we have multiple nations fighting in wars again?

A woke WW?

Not when they’re hitting nuclear plants.

Something verging on gross stupidity springs to mind.

I meant it in that lots of countries are involved but relatively few want or have skin in the game. The Uk is and isn’t involved in many if not all.

We have two proxy “WWs” being openly fought (Iran and Ukraine) and a any number of cold wars on the back burner (Korea, Taiwan, Baltics, Indo-Pak and some in Africa)…

The nuclear plant skirmishes are a bit of a worry but if push comes to shove I’m not sure people in the West will care - it is very far away. People will not not make the leap to oil prices going up…

Maybe it was always like this.

Fair shout. In my mind we 're damn close to one. Regarding this part of my your post, there should be concern. I don’t know what the reactor design is in the Iranian plants, or what disaster scenarios have been modelled but it is still a concern and should be for anyone in that region. Contamination can migrate quickly and with ease.

Just to note I was also referring to Russia’s “efforts” in and around Chernobyl as well as Israel’s “thing” in Iran.

One thing that other countries ought to steer clear off.

Otherwise it’s what you think will happen.

And it might happen too , the Pakistanis are for sale.

The fuck show extends worldwide. Zaphorziphzia (sp!) Has been targetted by the Ukrainian forces as well.

Let’s hold back from over-interpreting the original post. Some are reading it literally, I read it as sarcasm.

At the moment, there’s a lot of intent being projected onto it. If read as sarcasm, it’s simply a critique of Israeli capability or narratives of dominance, not necessarily pro-Hezbollah.
