They are fast finding themselves out of options.
Strike the Arab countries more and they’ll use their resources against Iran. And that isn’t something that Iran would like.
The isis in itself is an offshoot of the al qaida. Look at the countries where they’ve had a presence. Iraq , Syria , Lebanon. All with sizable Shia populations.
Any one country where isis operated which is a Sunni / Wahabi country ?

For what it is worth - which isn’t much - the “whole civilization will die tonight” line has not been well received with the other service members where I am. Anyone who isn’t an immature child is pretty much horrified.
