Thought he did well today, apart from a one or two situations, one our rare performers on the day. Might have earned himself another start in the next game.
Yes and when we played through him we actually played well, his passing is better than most people think.
Iāve always maintained this, but the thing is even he said in an interview a while back he didnāt think he was technically skilled enough and couldnāt learn it, which is a disappointment because you just know the likes of Milner and Salah would not take such an attitudeā¦
I think Endoās technical is receiving the ball on the half turn or truning whilst receiving it, Grav is the king at it butit isnāt Endoās strongest suit.
However, once he is on the half turn or facing play with the ball his passing is normally very good and he has a reasonable variety in his length and type of pass.
Hipster alert!!!
Plastic hipster
Liked his cameo against CP.
Heās a feisty little bugger.
Not sure who on here might speak Japanese (@legalalien?) but apparently this interview has EndÅ saying:
āI think lāll be at Liverpool next season. If I have the chance to play for Liverpool, would I really want to throw that away and move to another team? I wouldnāt.ā
Wataru Endo
Definitely go down as a cult hero, will Wataru.
Heās certainly a useful player, in fact at times he probably should have been on the pitch earlier in games.
I think one of the most remarkable things about this season was how seemingly happy and engaged even the players on the fringes of the squad were despite their lack of involvement. That is incredibly rare for a winning side
Yes, he does say that. The question is put to him at 10:30 and he says that his family ask him the same thing. Then thereās all the World Cup guff and heās then asked if he thinks he will be in good enough condition for the World Cup if heās not playing regularly. Of course he says he will be in good enough condition because he will be training and will be match fit. Naturally we donāt get an answer to the question about next season until the very end when he says he will and he wants to fight for Liverpool.
Watching that I picked up a new Japanese footy expression. He talks about the positions he has played; centre back, āside-backā (full back) and āboranchiā. A quick search of Jisho.org reveals that to be CM and that itās derived from the Portuguese āvolanteā. Japanese pronounce āvā like a ābā.
Thatās just about his level.
Endo San doing his best to alleviate Japanās impending population crisis.
