If something happens to Gravenbirch, can Endo cover well enough? He is great at cameos and has a great attitude.

What about Bajcetic? Is he ready to rotate in the first team?

I don’t think Endo is the first replacement if something happens in those double-pivot spots to either Gravenberch or Mac Allister. Jones is probably the first one to go in any of those deeper roles. The rest, such as Szobo potentially also getting game time there, we’ll see how he does that. Bajcetic is injured unfortunately and couldn’t take part in our pre-season so far. I guess he’ll get himself fit and perhaps another loan or remains here until January as an additional option.

Maca can be used in that role and we now have options to fill up Maca’s role. We are still banging on about a DM even though we won a title without one.

Right now Endo is our “closer” for seeing out wins, and he’s currently our 4th choice CB, maybe 3rd at the moment since Gomez is injured.

Versatile, reliable, tenacious, and glad he’s still part of our squad.

It’s a bit like you put one of us on the pitch.

Wataru is exactly the kind of player a successful needs in their squad. Maybe not the quickest or most skilful, but he gives wholehearted commitment. Would prefer him to stay.

Definitely our best scrum half!

Looked like he would struggle to get in the Southampton team the other night.

Yeah, he really struggled during that game. We aren’t accustomed to that from him. Usually, he’s reliable. But that shows that no player is a robot and can perform always at 100%. I just hope for him that there isn’t any underlying physical problem.

I mean if you deliberately choose to ignore the good things he did, there were a lot, then yes he struggled.

I didn’t say that he did nothing good during the game, but there were moments when he was clearly struggling, and that’s unusual from him.
