Whilst I’m a little underwhelmed it would be hilarious to spend 10 million on two players and end up having a much better season than Chelsea.

Surely the work of the famous Silicon Valley algorithm thats keeps being prominently displayed on the forum.
But does he have any Bundesliga credentials? He may have been good for Bundesliga 2, but the gap between that league and the PL will be immense for him. And he’ll have zero preparation time, no summer training camp, nothing.
For me, this move doesn’t make any sense to be honest. It reminds me of our move for Steve Caulker at the time. It has panic buy written all over it.
(And for those suggesting that he’ll replace Milner? Seriously? That’s lacking respect for what Millie did for us, and the importance he had for the club. In fact, it’s a downright insult.)

I don’t see an issue here - he isn’t coming in as a starter but someone to fill in where and when required. This is such a left field signing that the club will have wanted him for a reason.

I’m not writing him off. If he signs for us, I’ll be supporting him like any other player.
However, at this stage, I can’t make any sense out of this move.
He has already said the right thing…
“Wants the move because he sees it as his last chance of playing for a big club”
This guy is going to be zipping about his area of play like a ball bearing in a pinball machine…
