And, presumably, plus a Japanese accent like yours

Might be something to get the lads pumped up before the match. I did wonder if there was much of a Basque metal scene. Of course there is! It’s a bit like that Rule 34 thing that roughly says that if something exists, someone will have done a pornographic version of it. The only thing certain in life is Death, Taxes, and Metal Sub-Genres.

So here you are, Basque-Black-Folk-Metal:

A two year deal only, now keeps Edwards and Hughes on their toes to be as helpful to him as possible… Two years to get the fans totally onboard, then Andoni becomes untouchable…!

That continued to be horribly pear shaped so let’s hope for the latter :grimacing:

That’s definitely got plenty of death metal influences as well! A good find! Solid riffs!

Did Cascarino just call him ā€œAreolaā€?

So, only half-joking…

Can we start a new poll on which user will be the first to call him out or slag him off after a mediocre performance or a questionable result? :winking_face_with_tongue:

The answer is German Red.

Next question…

Is that a question?

If so it’s unanswerable

I guess I’m too old in the tooth to feel the excitement that many are at the moment. We told ourselves Slot was a great appointment. It was, until it wasn’t, and we’re now gushing over the new guy.

I’ll sit calmly and watch how things unfold I think. I still think we have issues that appeared over the last 18 months to resolve. I’d like to see some movement on those.

I’m excited, because it will be fun to watch, even if games will be lost while finding the balance. Even in the title winning season under Slot, it was frustrating to see the fast transition attacking style disappear, but it was hard to argue against the result.

That is unless you’re fan of the current Arsenal football, in which case I offer my commiserations.

Whatever your age, getting unreasonably excited/depressed is part of the fun of fandom doncha think NN?
After all, we spend the whole time during matches screaming at blokes kicking a ball about. It’s not a rational activity.

In fairness, some people were questioning him from the start. It was when we started losing that people began to lose faith.

I just hope that if he does lose matches to begin with that people give him the chance to put things right.

I was skeptical from the start, probably a significant part of that was coming to terms with losing Klopp and waiting to see what the new guy was about before getting excited.

I just never found him to be a personality that I could warm towards, and even in his early days his treatment/disinterest in the younger players rubbed me the wrong way.
