His scoring record is quite good while playing most of his football in a deeper LM position.

Yeah, important to mention that Porto played 4-4-2 a lot.

He plays today against Argentina, your time 23:30. It is on Dutch TV Ziggo Sports select. In the UK on Premier Sports 2.

If the work permit is completed by Friday a Sunday run out is not impossible - Iā€™d take a nice cameo at the end kf the Cardiff match

I suppose LFC fans will be tuned in to see him play Argentina today. 3:30pm PST.

1-0 Argentina Diaz missed a good chance

Colombia side is brutally bad.

Seen enough

I donā€™t really watch much European football so I will be honest in that I havenā€™t seen much of Diaz. I do remember that when we played Porto in the group stages, the commentator referring that he was a special talent.
So, my opinion is based purely on the (unreliable) Youtube clips. From these clips my view is that he is a pain in the backside for defenders. He comes across tenacious, tricky and confident in his ability. What I particularly like is that he seems very comfortable using the ball with either foot.

So heā€™s played twice since we signed him and has been poor on both occasions - FSG out!

He just needs a bear hug from our Jurgen.

Only saw the first half and he was not poor. The problem with Columbia is that they are programmed to play the ball to James who holds the ball for 30 seconds before he plays it. By then the opponents have closed their ranks.

If they play the ball immediately to Diaz he is one on one instead of being one on three with no space to run into.

He will be a fine addition to us.

I noticed the same in the Peru game. Ball never went left to Diaz, always to James.
