Welcome to Liverpool Ronald Araujo!

I thought it was a reassuring and quite impressive first interview. He seems an inrelligent guy who expresses himself confidently. If we need anything at the moment our recent second half woes have revealed a lack of leadership and example on the pitch if Virg is not around, so if Ronnie can supply some of that it will be appreciated.
Let’s see some monster tackles from those monster thighs!

Doesn’t look like he’ll get outmuscled by anybody!

Lets see how match fit he is. I saw a video of him doing sprint drills at the Barcelona training session; he can play on Sunday. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I see BBC is reporting Araujo has agreed to take a paycut this season which Liverpool will be paying. So that shows willing on his part to fit into our wage structure. No Rashford BS from Ronnie. Liking him already.

After Victor Munoz, here is the lean picture of Ronald Araujol, specifically for @Iftikhar.

Thats great to hear, I’m guessing it was a (relatively, if not absolutely) small one but the intent is importnat.

Ronald Araujo reveals that his Uruguay teammate and former Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez gave him a bit of unconventional advice when rumored to be signing with the club…

“He told me, whatever you do, don’t get sent off in your first game at Anfield”

One look at him and they will go to the other side of the pitch.

I very much hope that this guy brings the intensity amongst our leadership group that we’ve lost with the steady departures of Milner, Henderson, Robertson and Salah.

Yes debunking all the ITks statements of his salary. My guess is it will go back up when he signs a permanent contract.

Some South American steel, whilst horrible to watch at the WC, is exactly what we need

After losing last season’s Clásico in the 10th round, Ronald Araújo organized a gathering at his house with all the Barcelona players. They ate together because he saw that the team needed something like that to come together, rebuild their confidence, and get back on track. A few days later, when Raphinha was unfairly left out of FIFA’s Team of the Year, Ronald Araújo was the only one who publicly defended him. When Flick met with him and explained that he wasn’t suited to his style of play and that the best solution was for him to leave, Araújo immediately agreed. His decision also allowed the club to get rid of his huge salary. He may not have been suited to Flick’s style. He may have played a major role in our Champions League exits on two occasions. But I could never bring myself to hate him. Good luck, captain. !
