We had some pour downs yesterday just short sub tropical stuff that dried up in five minutes.
The big respite was the 25ºC this morning. So refreshing and I didn’t need the fan until late this afternoon.
A little clemance after 3 months of sweltering heat. So happy
.
Btw we have only had a few days that counted as heat wave however locally it could, and was, well above ‘normal’ temperatures. This is unlike to the west where the temperatures were well above seasonal averages and over there much is going up in flames, very harrowing times.
My son told me he opened his windows his morning down in Marseille, he has air conditioning so keeps things locked up for that.
Must add we had some wind recently as well but that just blows hot air about.
I have never known such a long period of hot weather. Hopefully August, which is usually the hottest month, will be cooler like last year.
I am on my way back from Manchester, attending a small wedding. There was so many delays and cancellations on this Avanti-West Coast trains🙁.
I should be sitting at home with a cuppa by now. I just passed Crewe now.
Flying into Heathrow was shocked at the parched parks and gardens.
Grass loses its green colour without water.
No need to be shocked, that’s normal
Just walk along and sing him nusery ryhmes…things you will remember in a few years.
There’s a whole new world out there…hopefully you’ll find a group of LFC supporters…but we’ll still be here…keep us updated on your journey…

Can’t submit the poor lad to the torture of me singing!
Sure, but don’t expect it in London.
Ready for take off now.
Manchester city centre has changed so much, skyline has all these posh skyscrapers. The vibe is quite London esqe and the traffic is more busy than before.
My mum has a family contingent there. They are mild Man U fans, but more World Cup watchers, cricket and tennis.
Now at Ealing Broadway, on the bus home.
I have to say, the Lizzy (Elizabeth) line is brilliant, very quick, less tiring than other tube lines and air conditioned ![]()
I’ll wave as you fly over, just 30 mins from Heathrow, in Amersham, beautiful little village/town
I will wave to you @Bekloppt , if you are near Hounslow ![]()
Yeah you’d think that would be requisite knowledge for moving down under ![]()
Now in Singapore, hiding from Gasband!

Be wary of nymphs and witches offering sanctuary and / or temptation.
But his seagulls are watching

Just come out of Aldi. Someone had dropped a tin of mackerel in sunflower oil on the floor and a car drove over it just as me and the Mrs were walking past.
We were both splattered with mackerel. It fucking stunk. Had to drive home in mackerel-splattered clothing. FML.
