What's happening?

I don’t usually wear headphones/ear buds while out for brisk walks. However, during last autumn, I did just that with a month of outdoors walking with music in my ears using a pair of ear buds. I started to get irritations and hearing issues. I never gaven much thought about it other than knowing I was getting some ears issues, and a little bit of antibiotics ear drops would cure it.

Last week, I came across 2 articles (one listed below). It was like a lightbulb went on in my head. As a result, I gave myself an excuse to spend some money…buying a pair of “Open Earbuds” instead (bought a pair of Shokz OpenFit 2+ after some discount). Not sure if I should spend more (significantly more, as it already cost more, and does not have discounts) to have the OpenFit Pro, which has noise cancellation.

Any audiophiles here?
