No, it’s an interesting point.
I think the English speaking world often use terms like ‘Final Solution’ and ‘Blitzkrieg’ without a real understanding of what they mean.

Always felt really uncomfortable with that term “final solution”
Bank Holiday weekend here, Labor Day. Went to the neighborhood pool twice. I never go, but Mrs ROTW persuaded me. It is 75 yards from our back garden! Nice pool, life guard on duty, pretty quiet, all included in the neighborhood dues we pay for landscaping, swimming pool, etc.
Humidity low. Temp perfect - mid to high 70s F. Spent a couple afternoons chilling, listening to music, and taking a sneaky cocktail or two over there in a tumbler.
Simple pleasures. Grilled out in our back garden this evening, back to work tomorrow.
I had a crap day yesterday on my way to work. I lost my wallet with all my debit cards, a little money, drivers licence, my woolly hat, rosary and activeeveryone card on the train.
I stupidly and quickly put it in a reuseable tesco bag and was going to put it in my rucksack on the train and forgot. By the time i got off the platform and the train left, i realised i left on the window.
I reported it to station staff, they kindly radioed the driver. Alas, it was not handed in and someone tried to use the debit in McDonalds 2 hours later.
I don’t mind about the the debit cards, but my favourite woolly hat was in it and my mum’s prayer beads, it was a beautiful one.
Edit: the station staff were very kind.
Sorry to hear that @Maria - Did you call the McDonalds on the off chance someone went through the bag, and threw/left the items of no value to them there
I didn’t. I didn’t know which McDonalds the person went into? It just said McDonalds on my online banking information.
The bag wasn’t handed in to any station. I wouldn’t know where to find out which McDonalds it was in.
It is my own stupid fault.
I should be more careful.
Anyway, i will get over it. Luckily i didn’t leave my house keys, oyster travelcard and phone in there
Have you asked the transport police if there is any way to help..
Brittish Transport Police would be the ones to contact as they are responsible for the tube, buses and trains. Also, most trains nowdays have CCTV in all carriges so they would be able to go to the train operator and get any cct footage, then use that to work with the bank and Mcdonalds to try and identify the ratbag
They get so many cases of people leaving/losing stuff on the train. It is a lo ng slog.
We have tube strikes next week too
True, but with the little scrote trying to use your card can add additional need to investigate as that becomes potential fraud which the bank will need to do their own investigation into.
Okay. I will check it out. Thank you.
@Maria
