When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Scamorim! (Part 3)

Yes, that’s the relegation season.

But theoretically they could be just behind that 1978 season if they win all their remaining games.

if

Ah yeah I forgot about that.

Really think this player would really help them turn it around .:eyes:

Available on a free in the summer? Perfect option for Real Madrid and I’m sure he’d play RB if asked. A world cup winner instead of Trent? You know it makes sense Meringue fascists..

Yeah Pogba is going go play for £400 a night in South London.

Money won’t matter for him. He can simply get one more Amazon prime series.

Yeah but £400 in some jokey little tournament thing set up by a musician.

The guys probably got a chance of the Saudi league.

This is amazing. Granted it’s just the opinion of two guys on the internet, but that it is even a thought in anyone’s mind is a marker for how massively Utd have shit the bed with this appointment

Kobbie Mainoo (19, 2027, with club option for additional year)
Ogden: I don’t know where he fits in Amorim’s system; he’s not mobile enough to play central midfield in the 3-4-2-1 formation, but let’s see how he develops. He’s obviously a talent, but he’s a square peg in a round hole in Amorim’s team.
Marcotti: This is a tricky one. I agree he’s not ideal to play in the two in front of the back four, and you’ll hopefully add another top midfielder, maybe two, this summer. Perhaps you work on him to develop into one of the 10s? But then you have Amad and Bruno Fernandes in front of him. You can get away with not extending him now, but you’ll have a big decision to make next summer.

12 months ago Mainoo was the best young player on the planet (he wasn’t) and a sure fire future Ballon D’Or winner (he wasn’t) but now he doesnt fit the new system and they should consider letting him leave to raise money to bring in players who do fit.

On a side note, all I see about Utd is how player x is not a fit for a specific role in this new system, but everyone just says is as if it is self evident what a good fit supposedly is and how a different specific player would make the team and system work better. But no one ever specifies what that different characteristic is or which players are illustrative of what a better fit looks like.

If “fit” is such an extensive challenge for a group of CL and international football experienced players, maybe your system is bullshit.

He just needs more time, dammit. Let Ruben cook.

Dumping Amorim is probably cheaper.

If a midfielder lacks the mobility to play CM in a 3-4-2-1 then they probably shouldn’t even be playing football professionally. That’s one of the least physically taxing formations for a CM.

If Ogden and Marcotti weren’t journalists, the things they say would carry some weight.

That’s not to say that some journalists have very good understanding of football, sometimes better than people who have played the game professionally.

Mainoo for me is something in between, not a holding midfielder type and not someone who will long term be best in the most offensive role.

Andy Mitten on Bilbao: “They are beatable.”

:joy:

F*ck me, shows their level.

Fuck I hate these pricks.

You get up at fecking 5am to catch up on some work and you can’t even put on a podcast in the background moaning about how shit they are.

That reminds me of something we used to sing at school, My Friend Billy.

For those who don’t know it, it goes like this:

My friend Billy
Had a ten foot willy
And he showed it to the girl next door
She thought it was a snake
So she hit it with a rake
And now it’s only four foot four

Replace foot with cm and Billy with peachy.
