When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim! (Part 3)

They won’t even get 50. They’re lucky we’re in an era of promoted teams not being able to bridge the gap.

TBF the same could be said about all their players…

This was pretty hilarious.

And always a sign that the players are giving up on the season and the coach when no one is ready to take a card for the team.

Haha. Not going to happen.
It’s a April Fool joke.

First time I hear about that theory.

That corner turned again then?

Think he’s a Liverpool fan?

But honestly, I do agree to a certain extent, Vidic is a bit overrated in my opinion.

Better than Skrtel, but when he’s sometimes mentioned bang alongside some of the best names or even ahead of them according to some… no.

I always felt Heinze was one of their better defenders.

Taylor-Fletcher is from Widnes so yeah decent chance he’s a Liverpool fan.

They have 16 points from their 6 games against the bottom 3 and 21 points from the other 23 matches.

Proper relegation contenders that.

Such a shame the bottom 3 are so abject this year.

Not saying they would have gone down, but imagine the hilarity if they’d been in a relegation scrap all season?

O the fun we’d have had! What larks!

It’s generally been a good season across the league but there are major concerns about that gap. Problem is the football to get you out of the championship isn’t what gets you results further up as well.

Expect more the same of that next season unless the playoff team surprises probably not helped by the same managers churning through.

Maybe Leeds can make a go of it. Burnley are horrrible to watch and Sheffield Utd aren’t much better.

I’d only expect Leeds to make a decent fist of it.

Maybe Burnley need to get someone like Dyche if they want to have a chance of staying up but that detracts from the young player route they’ve been taking.

Wolves have had some problems this season but w.r.t their performances by and large on this season were good even if they could not get the points early on.

Some absolute dross played by Everton , United and Spurs but they were never contenders to be relegated.

Leicester will drop down and come back straight up the following season unless they get done in on financial issues. Not sure Ipswich and Southampton will. But they’ll have the advantage of parachute payments.

I think Forest have written the playbook for how to get established in the PL

  • get promoted

  • get rid of most of the team and assemble a new one of solid PL quality players. Sack the manager and bring in PL experience.

  • Fingers crossed that the points deduction that this invariably will merit isn’t enough to get you relegated.

Even they struggled for 2 seasons.

There are a few ways of doing it, Bournemouth have established one way.

It’s coming out totally with parachute payments. You’ll have teams happy to be winners in the championship one season and then getting relegated the next …

Would probably leave the fans happy too. They get to see their team near the top of the table every alternate season. Would still be a better experience than having to support Everton.

Anyway, the point is that gap in financial ability between teams being able to make use of parachute payments and teams which aren’t has led to this.

All the while where the teams who remain in PL get even richer and the gap continues to grow.

And I blame the likes of United, oil clubs for this majorly.

Their irresponsible spending (even if in United’s case, ineffectual) forced other clubs to increase their spending in an effort to keep up.

I’m almost afraid to tell him that Goldbridge just described Maguire as “slower than a snail on a cream pie”…
