When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

Man United die hard supporters: ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day, trust the ETH process.’

Others: ‘Rome wasn’t built by an idiot.’

Isn’t it more of a “Fall of the Roman Empire” situation now?

The Fall of the Fergie Empire began circa 10 years ago, and All the Old Toilet’s Men & Horses could not put it back together again.

I do like how they moan about Moyes but bar Van Gaal they’ve looked far worse and spent more than his team.

Erik ten Deluded.
Might as well go the whole hog and say they can still go on to lift 'O Big Ears.

It’s weird. I can’t think of anything ETH has really done to improve Utd during his time there.

They don’t really have an identity - often you get a new manager impart a style or identity on the team and even if it is flawed (love to attack but cant defend or vice versa) it is still visible.

They haven’t really improved any of the team’s parts, probably gone backwards. His choice of signings have not only been expensive but largely garbage.

There doesn’t appear to have been anything done to enhance the youth set up.

Obviously the issues are not all down to him but I can’t see how he gives them any value. He has clearly overpromised and underdelivered.

Did Lisandro play CB under Ten Hag at Ajax?

I’m sure I watched him in the holding role for Defensa, and he was terrific. He’s probably been their best player under Ten Hag, but I don’t know why he’s at CB when he’s obviously not up to it, at least not in a PL team.

Shows how hard it is to find quality management. Most people were fairly convinced that ETH was one of the best managers around and an excellent hire.

Although I do think that his failure so far likely has more to do with the club itself than him as a coach. There is nothing in their set up or leadership that works correctly.

He dropped Maguire and managed to ship Ronaldo out the door. That’s it, nothing else, nada.

At Ajax ETH was surrounded in the background by ex-players that contributed to the project at that football club in general. Every fan knew Ajax develop young teams on the proviso the ‘gold nugget’ prospects are then sold on for vast profit… In other words, kids with loads of potential more than eager to please, knowing full well, in keeping their nose clean and being self disciplined, they were playing for a move, even after only a season or so, to a bigger/better club.
Fast forward ETH into Old Toilet, dealing with players that have been there, done it and got the t-shirt while now, still only standing on their last legs… coupled with ETH getting the company platinum credit card to spend tens of millions of pounds on components to fit his footballing vision… Then all of a sudden, he seems to be in a whole different world completely. A world that has no hiding place from the zillions of knowledgeable football fans that can spot a fraud that is out of his depth, from a hundred paces away… A world where no refunds will be offered against the square pegs bought to fit the round holes… My word, how bad has Onana been since he signed… yet just one of many.!
Long may he reign at OT is what I hope…

Onana, Anthony, Mount, Malacia, Weghorst, Sabitzer….all pretty much shit. They also paid 70mil for an over the hill Casemiro who is too slow for the PL. he’s also failed to properly manage the squad at his disposal, constantly picking the same players and running them into the ground because he’s afraid of bad results, this has now led to bad results because the players are knackered.

As noted Rashford fanboy @Mascot said earlier - he’s a shithouse, and players will figure that out and stop sacrificing themselves for him, which we’re seeing play out.

Injuries to Shaw Regulion, and AWB mean Dalot is their only player who can LB and he’s having to play at RB so Amrabat has played there the last 3 games or so.

I dont think he was really much at fault for that goal though. The issue was the rest of the defense playing a line 30 yards in front of the man with the ball :joy:

This guy Keys having a go at someone again… Don’t ya just love it :0)

Richard Keys names SIX Man Utd stars who are problems for ‘tin-pot tough guy’ Erik ten Hag

Story by James Goldman •50m

Richard Keys has branded under-fire Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag a ‘tin-pot tough guy’ who has lost control of the dressing room.

A miserable start to the new season was compounded by defeat to Galatasaray at Old Trafford last night which left the Red Devils bottom of Champions League Group A.

Despite considerable investment in new players over the summer, United have lost six of their opening 10 games in all competitions and appear to have gone backwards.

A number of off-field issues have proven to be a significant distraction but Keys is adamant that Ten Hag’s harsh treatment of his underperforming players has come back to haunt him.

‘It’s clear ETH has lost his players with his tin-pot tough guy act anf by always blaming them,’ the beIN Sports presenter wrote on X.

‘That’s repairable. Casemiro Eriksen Varane and Amrabat not being able to run isn’t and the keeper is a liability.

‘Fernandes won’t run – that’s a big problem. He’s not a captain.’

While it appears too early to judge deadline day purchase Amrabat, especially given his early United appearances have been at left-back, Onana’s performances are becoming an increasing concern.

The decision to oust and replace David de Gea was always going to bring intense scrutiny, but the experienced Cameroon international has made a catalogue of errors already and has been anything but a steadying influence on those in front of him.

Despite his early struggles, Ten Hag is standing by his £50million purchase and has little intention of dropping him ahead of this weekend’s game against Brentford.

He said: ‘We are happy with our goalkeeping group. Andre was in one semi-final, last season in a final of Champions League.

‘(He) Can be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. We have seen already his great capabilities + also his personality. He will bounce back.’

Players are subject to random drug tests, is it time managers also got tested?

Well, when you clear the ball you re taught not to do it centrally from the wing because then it can come back very quickly if there isn’t pressure up the pitch. On the wings it’s easier to corral. He could have gone back to Onana, had him clear it and then the defence could have adopted a more compact shape. Also, is he right footed? That clearance looked shorter than what he was intending to do.

On NBC before their game at the weekend Kelly Cates described Amrabat as “he’s just class”.

Since then he’s dropped two absolute stinkers. He may be slower than Fabinho.

Everyone one in Europe had a look at him and everyone else said “Nah” but Man Utd for some reason still think they found a hidden gem.
