When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

Winning commences at the top, then trickles down. INEOS and the Glazers are not going to get them to the dizzy heights of the PL… They are just too disconnected from the fanbase
Here is their latest stroke…

Manchester United raise ticket costs for Members in shameful act against fans

Manchester United raise ticket costs for Members in shameful act against fans

Manchester United decided to raise match tickets for Members to £66 per game for the remainder of the season, without consulting any of the recognised fan groups.

On Tuesday night, the club informed the Fans Forum of changes to certain ticket policies that will take effect immediately. In other words, a decision was made behind the fans’ backs on a fans-related matter.

It’s a further sign that INEOS is not going to prioritise loyal match-going fans, which in turn has me fearing a new stadium because their preferred audience will likely be commercial.

Manchester United continue to fleece loyal fans

The latest changes to the ticket policies mean that all Members’ tickets for the remainder of this season will increase to £66 each.

To make matters worse, that price will apply for kids and over-65s as well as adults, which is disgraceful. It will cost an adult member £132 to take their kid to a game in the remainder of the season.

Manchester United explain that 97% of this season’s tickets are already sold, so this will only affect a small number of people, but that doesn’t justify it.

It’s a concern that, along with the scrapping of ticket collections on Euro aways, United are happy to make detrimental changes without consulting the fans.

The club is essentially saying that the struggles on the pitch is the fault of the fans, so we have to pay more to watch it.

I genuinely feel that United are missing a trick in the market by not doing something to help encourage the youth to football matches. It would not only help build the atmosphere but ensure that the next generation doesn’t go to the Etihad or elsewhere!

If the club truly cared about the younger demographic then they wouldn’t be charging them £66 to watch the current side.

INEOS are also responsible for over 200 redundancies at Manchester United.

Why punish the life and soul of the football club during a cost crisis when fans have done everything they’ve been asked? They get behind the team, win, lose or draw across the UK and continent. There was also a rise in season ticket prices.

We can expect the FAB, FF and Manchester United Supporters’ Trust to demand answers at the least but there should be some sort of protest to let them know we won’t have the wool pulled over our eyes.

How much is this an increase of? They say socialists run out of other people’s money.

It’s because tax dodgers like Radcliffe hoard it.

Not sure what the increase is MH, what caught my eye was the fact they rode roughshod over the several fanbase organisations without any pre-discussions - to me, this is what will be more damaging to them in the long term

Oh no doubt, I was just intrigued no doubt they will go up again in the summer as Jimmy boy needs a new yacht.

I assume the club did otherwise it’s just a bit of an odd statement.

Yeah can you go and scout 3 players I managed for 3 years.

Often a true word said in jest.

In fairness, when Houllier came in we went french. When Benitez came in we went Spanish. Fat Sam always brought in his mates etc etc. New managers want players they know and trust. Particularly ones who will be generals on the pitch or are shining potential.

And when Jürgen came in we let our German player go!

The next Zidane, we all knew this to be true.

Yeah, he was a proper manager who signed players who were appropriate, not just his countrymen. Bloody xenophobia.

If nothing else, and - let’s be honest - there wasn’t much, he’ll always be remembered for the goal that gave us our first win at Stamford Bridge in over fourteen years.

Not only him, the whole of that 2002 summer was a disaster. Possibly the worst transfer window in the club’s history.

Matty hit both sides of the coin.

I always feel like the idea of fan groups needing to be consulted over pricing decisions is more theatre than anything else, but to do it in the middle of a season seems not just inappropriate, but the mark of a poorly run organization

Hendo redeemed the CHAD a bit but what a fucking window that was.

At least there was Hendo. :joy:

And Doni could’ve been fine as a backup, poor guy.

I agree that fan consultation is largely a window dressing exercise. Owners don’t care, and if they did they would hand over consequential power, including voting rights. The more careful owners will do a little consultation to make the fans feel included - it helps keep the peace, and the money rolls in smoothly. Radcliffe hasn’t even gone for that charade.

If global TV rights are where the big money is, at some point a wise owner needs to think of the match going fan as part of the ‘product.’ If they aren’t there, with all the passion they can bring especially when it is a big game, not only is the lifeblood of the club removed, but a watching global audience is only seeing a shadow of what the club could and should be.

I’m not going all SOS as I am far removed geographically, but owners have to look after the match going fans or it is short sighted.
