Nobody has ever called Matty a keeper.
Including Matty
ManU got absolutely pantsed on that deal. A friend of mine is a Fiorentina fan, follows Serie A very closely. Many Serie A fans thought Interās clearest weakness was Onana, and managed to net 50M Euros on a modest upgrade to Sommer
Would have been much happier had we not lost against Forest.
But still
Iāve yet to see how his so called superior ball playing ability makes him any less of an absolute liability that he is.
2 of the 3 goals were on him. The second more than the third.
The Shitchester derby.
For context, De Gea is now at Fiorentina, and having a great season - becoming a real fan favourite. My friend is absolutely baffled that they would have swapped out De Gea for Onana.
De Gea wasnāt the perfect keeper. He clearly has a lot of weaknesses. But shot stopping isnāt one of them despite some howlers creeping in during his last years at United.
Just watching ManU v. Forest now. My enjoyment is badly compromised by Forestās sky blue away kit, I keep forgetting which side to despise more.
Fans will moan at the ref but if I was a fan I would be really angry at my keeper.
Try it once to see if you can get away with it but donāt do it 4-5 times.
Noticed the ref blew on 7 mins exact which is kind of funny when you consider this.
OK, I did not know that Forest had a cheap knock-off Grealish. This is really getting confusing
Just looked at the other goals for Forest and frankly Onana doesnāt do very well on the first.
He doesnāt move and yet itās hardly in the corner.
de Gea Mk II?
Feels like Fabinho ā EndÅ in that regardā¦
Itās even funnier if you consider that if he just left it there and let the wind blow it into the position he wanted, the free kick would still have been taken quickerā¦
Van der Saar was another who falls into that category. Great goalie and like the ones you mentioned, if he had to dive to make a save you knew it was a good shot.
Thatās Giuseppe Marotta. I swear, if Inter could lend us the guy for one summer transfer window, weād be winning the league for the following three years. Consistently the best sporting director in Italy for past I-donāt-know-how-many years, likely the best one working in European football.
That said, itās hardly the only deal where they got screwed big time by the selling party - their fans will pull up Hodgson and subsequent King Kenny days but, Carroll and Downing aside, Liverpoolās spending never got anywhere near the levels of their spending since Ferguson called it a day.
Do people expect any different from United? They have a new manager but also have the same inconsistent under performing players.
Its mad how they extended Ten Haags deal and let him buy a ton of poor players in the window knowing they would sack him as soon as he had poor run.
The bew bloke has a lot of work ahead in clearing out the rubbish and bringing in players he wants
