Did I just read somewhere that Dan Ashworth , the guy they spent so much effort to hire has just left United ?
Maybe learn to read? Itâs only been the topic of discussion for the last 20 or so posts?
What doe everyone think is a realistic honeymoon period, here?
Ignoring the media (which I think we can all agree absolutely loves sacking any manager), how long before the fans and then the club turn?
Itâs not all bad news for them, thoughâŚ
There are some pretty decent SDs floating around out thereâŚ
I canât stress this enough. I know some people slag FSG, but they have been key to our success. Iâve worked in organizations with both good and bad leadership. Having competent people at the top of your organization makes a world of difference on whether or not youâre successful.
Itâs called someone repeating the truth so that I donât have to pinch myself to check whether Iâm dreaming.
I respectfully disagree.
If they sniffed blood in the water it would be an absolute frenzyâŚthey care about money above all else, and Cokey McCokesniff getting punted would be one of the biggest football stories ever.
Unfortunately he would never allow himself to be challenged in such a way. I would bet my remaining nut heâd jump ship if it ever looked like being a possibility.
Anothe BBC hys special
âRadcliffe showing how to make a small fortune in football. Start with a big one!â
I have to admit, they do have a good sense of humour.
Iâve always been fascinated by highly successful sports teams/franchises/clubs that turn into complete dumpster fires. ManU are a train wreck you canât take your eyes off of. Iâve probably listened to Goldbridge as much as any Liverpool podcast over the past few years.
Yes Iâm a small petty human being but Schandenfreude can be hilarious
I used to like you.
There is certainly room for A technical director and director of football, and they are toles plenty of clubs have without issue, but it all depends on what responsibilities have been given to the technical director. And possibly in this case, if the one with the ear of the CEO is going outside of his official job description and being accommodated. Itâs possible that in the time it took to get Ashworth on board officially Wilcox unofficially covered the responsibilities of that role in a way that he and Berrada wouldnt let go of once Ashworth came in. Iâve seen situations play out in dumber ways that this.
Brailsford is the one that I questioned though. His role as Ratcliffâs right hand really shouldnt exist in a structure that already has in place all of these official roles and was the one that looked like to be the troublesome one.
To be fair, if Ashworth wanted the continuation of the playing style he would first have to answer âwhat was our playing under the last guy?â
Ashworthâs appointment was literally the only indicator of them moving forward in a football capacity. Him being squeezed out, possibly from both sides (the official structure and Sir Jimâs unofficial Ineos tinkering), is probably something that had Ralf and Jose sharing a psychic nod to each other.
Holy shit. It cost Utd 3m to get Ashworth from Newcastle, and he was on gardening leave for longer than he was in his position
Max Rushden made this point earlier on the radio whilst I was out running errands.
I cackled, and then had to explain it to Mrs SBYM. We are not on the same wavelength when it comes to Manchester Utd related bantz.
Seems the right way of thinking from Ashworth, thank fook they got rid of him
This is how you run a world class club. You donât carry stragglers. United wonât be the first or last club to hire someone only to later realize theyâre not up to the task. Itâs no surprise heâs gone and Iâm glad to see the change.
Someoneâs a glass-half-full kinda guy!
I is disappoint this video did not reference the gummi hands.
