Every ManU match I see these days, I laugh thinking that Inter signed Onana on a free, had reservations about him during the season, then sold him for £43M after he had a couple of solid games in the CL knock-out rounds.

Onana certainly is taking the majority of the blame for that debacle today but I think it’s remarkable that a defender who has come through the Ajax academy then played at Juventus and Bayern Munich doesn’t seem to recognise the situation and gives the GK absolutely no help, he actually looks like he’s falling over when Onana passes to him.

Every team he’s ever played for plays out from the back, how was he so unprepared?

United boss Ruben Amorim only views nine players in his squad as ā€œunsellableā€, with Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 30, and Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho, 20, among the names at risk of being sold.

As many as 9 LOL you gotta be kidding

That’s Amorim you’re talking about.

At the end of Klopp’s first season he believed he had only 2 - Bobby and Lallana. Yet 2 years later he’d make a CL final and a picked a team with a further 3 players he inherited who’d had to battle to prove to him they belonged.

Man for man they are much better than the side Klopp took over. The questions to me are if any of them he isn’t sold on are willing to humble themselves the way Hendo and Milly did to becomes important to the new regime, how many of them are willing to ā€œpush the busā€ for as long as it takes to get moving, and how well can he identify the toxic ones of who don’t fall into that category and how quickly he can get rid of them.

I think he was done in for drugs.

The contract with Ajax ran out in the meanwhile.

Antony too surely. Who’s going to buy him with his wages?

Sure…but Inter got him for free, and were not that thrilled. He was erratic for them, playing in front of one of the best defenses in Serie A, and they finished 1 spot lower. ManU solved a problem for them by taking it off their hands for 40M+

Shell-shock from being at United?

Not disagreeing with this. He cost them the league that season. It’s just that the reason he was free was because his drug ban happened during his last months of the Ajax contract. Another matter is whether Inter would have gone for him had he not been a free agent.

I’m not sure if he means that he wouldn’t want to sell them, or if no-one would want to buy them.

I was puzzled by that too ; if it’s the former then I’m honestly struggling to think of nine players that he thinks he couldn’t do without.

Sadly not, retired last year at the ripe old age of 31.

I don’t think we can lose for the derby. Either United lose or City get less than 3 points. It’s win win win and Goldbridge is whistling all the way to the bank.

A point I made once under Klopp. If you’re not enjoying this, you really don’t get it.
