I think he’s benefited a lot from the timing/sequencing. Ole didn’t want him, and while arguably he didn’t have the balls to not play him its a lot harder for the man who was given him as a gift to not use him than it is for the guy who took the job presumably with a brief on doing it his way. It gives him a short term win, but I’m not going to put much stock in it in terms of evidence he can turn them around, the Klopp demonstrated he was in the process of doing with his binning off of Sakho.

All these Ronaldo decisions to put him on in the 89th min seem like a transparent attempt to bait him into accepting any transfer rather than leaving on a free. He walked right into that trap imo.
