When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

In fairness, Roy wasn’t that far off becoming more hated than H&G.

Had FSG not acted when they did, I think he could have beaten them to the bottom by the end of that season

Like whom to support in the Newcastle vs United fixture. Maybe I’ll just have you watch it for me.

Aliens to invade and kidnap both teams?

United every time.

They may be our traditional rivals, but they’re not sportswashing cunts.

I spend the day out and you lot go into overdrive in this thread making me think something has properly happened.

For me Amorim is starting to look like both a poor option but also not the person they need.

To my mind any half decent manager comes in and looks at what they have, and maybe looks at installing some basic parts of their core tactics while realising that you cant go full hog because they player types you need arent there.

Nope, he’s gone full on from day 1 and has probably managed to both confuse the squad, alienate a few others, completely demotivate the rest while having 1 or 2 favourites.

It looks like yet again the senior management haven’t got a clue what they’ve just spent o fortune on bringing in.

New contract next week then

Just be glad it doesn’t look like it will much matter.

Amorim is probably thinking that Rashford needs to buckle down and concentrate on his football more

Who dont? I am asking questions of the people who think the big issue is that the players he has are not suited to his system? What is the mismatch? Other than quality, which is a different issue, what are they missing that is specifically needed in his 5-2-3?

To me I see a guy who has a vision for how he wants to play and his team isnt doing it. Is that because he isn’t getting his message over? Is it because they try, experience that the magic system isn’t magic and need to add their own flair?

And it’s 40k per year, this is so petty, but I guess it’s the perfect signal for the stock exchange & friends.

It seems so obvious what they need to do but they’re no closer than they were a decade ago. Over a few years get rid of all the bad eggs. Get a proper captain, buy good characters at low cost (e.g. the Robbo and Gini type) then spend the bigger money on those that are a sure thing but not yet at their peak (Ali and Virg).

But instead they’ll keep splurging on numerous £50m+ players that are either over the hill or the latest big names for the fans

For me, its more something that got into my head when we switched into playing 3 CBs under Brendan, particularly a game we lost against Arsenal.

Where for example a player has fewer opportunities in a game to rely on instinct and has to be switched on more if the bulk of their playing time has been in a back four.

We saw then how Dejan’s frailties were somewhat curtailed, allowing us to benefit from his strengths, so I can imagine the same is true of Maguire (like for England when we played 3 CBs then).
