When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

And that he would have been the only player at the club to have won the league?

And the Champions League & Club World Cup.

I do think we would play our academy teams in relatively the same formation that our seniors play.

But

United insist on playing their academies out of sync with their main teams.

Make what you want out of it.

That’s could be on Amorim, it seems.

Could be on United as well.

That’s almost inevitable with a change of manager and seemingly fundamental approach. Amorim has to focus on the main side for now, what the academy sides are doing this month is close to irrelevant.

Just watched Goldbridge whining about INEOS and how United needed the Qataris to come in with all their money to save the club.

A human rights abusing theocratic regime running your club is fine as long as they pump their oil/blood money in to buy all the shiny toys you want. This is what football is fast becoming. No wonder the ME crowd see it as the best sportswashing opportunity - fans are happy to look away as long as their club is winning.

Sort of hilarious, given the amount that ManU are already spending.

Yeah, that’s the irony. They’re up near 2 billion quid spent on player transfers since SAF left them, and all they have to show for it is one Europa League, two FA cups and two League Cups. Imagine if they’d been better in the transfer market and only spent 1bn on players the last 11 years, still won the same amount, but invested the other 1bn into the stadium, training facilities, etc. They’d be miles ahead of where they are now.

It’s just hilarious to watch the hypocrisy - they cried foul for years about Abramovic at Chelsea then the Emirates chaps at City, claiming that their trophies were meaningless because they weren’t “proper clubs”, yet here they are, clamoring for an Arab sugar daddy to come and rescue them from the Glazers, who are only there because Ferguson invited them to invest after getting spiteful over some horse spunk.

Maybe, just maybe, INEOS in their infinite wisdom, thought they were getting a talented manager that could at least get a tune out of that squad, while a re-build was going on simultaneously.
If the guy Amorim only has a Plan A method of setting-up and playing across a 90mins window… thank fuck he never got anywhere near our club

Another PR-masterstroke by Jimbo.

Bloke should write a textbook or something.

I think all of this is a sign that Ratcliffe doesn’t really know what the hell to do, so he is doing what he knows how to do.

I think this is really unfair on Mourinho. He also despised Pogba.

Yeah…perfect summation.

Putting the Manchester back in United.

It’s not at all funny that one of the richest clubs in the world just cut funds to a charity that helps former players pay for their funerals…

It is funny AF that Jimbo is well on the way to becoming more hated than the Glazers.

That is some feat.

Ratcliffe seems determined to discard the ‘dragging’ anchor of the past

I keep hearing arguements that part of the issue at Utd is they dont have the players who suit Amorim’s system, but I dont see evidence of that being the problem so am wondering what specifically people mean when they say it?

Up until this year the questions about Martinez were whether he could thrive in a back 4 given his best football had previously come in a 3CB system. Both Evans and Maguire have abilities they can bring to a team and have their weaknesses mitigated with the extra protection of playing with an additional CB. With De Ligt, I know it isnt how EtH played at Ajax, but Im sure most defenders who come up through that club have plenty of experience with the system.

For wing backs his 2 preferred FBs are more attacking than defensive. Playing WB allowed Diallo a breakthrough he struggled to get while playing in his supposed preferred position.

So what is the problem? Sith posted a video above whose title proclaimed to explain the issue, but instead simply showed how they are not replicating what Amorim’s team did at Sporting. That doesnt show they dont have the players to do it. It shows the players being picked are not yet doing it.

They don’t have a clue Limie.

One more 250k salary of Antony saved. Per week … oh shit

I hope they get some decent results, then spend another 700m on Amorim’s system, only to become terrible again. United will be stuck with a ton of high-wage, low-quality players. They’ll hire another manager who plays anything but a 3-4-3. And the cycle begins again.
