When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Amorim!

Chelsea

Dumb fucks.

They’ll get maybe half that amount, some team in Italy or Spain will snap him up. Ironically I can see him going to Real Sociedad after they inevitably lose Zubimendi in the summer.

The only other player of any real value that they can turn a profit on is Garnacho who is also likely to go. Remains to be seen if Villa will want to trigger the 40M option to buy on Rashford, his wages are prohibitive and if they don’t qualify for the CL next season I can’t see them doing it. He’ll probably agitate for a move elsewhere, that relationship seems completely broken at this point.

Antony is also not happy with Amorim, so he’s likely to force a move too. Could be looking at another season of Zirkzee and Hojlund up top unless they spunk all their money on a proven goalscorer. To that end, sources are saying they’re looking at Mateta from Palace. Yes, that Mateta.

Mainoo definitely underrated by many now. He wasn’t ready when he was thrown into the team over there and hailed as the saviour at 18 years old but he is an excellent player.

He’s going to be a very good technical “scuttling” midfielder in time. Probably won’t ever reach his potential at Man Utd though.

He looks too slow, both in running and reactions, to make it at the top level. He stood out in a shite Man United last season, but he’s looked way off the required level this season.

Smells like a negotiating posture to make ManU increase their offer, with the foreign part calibrated so as not to alienate the fans - hoping they will contribute to the pressure on the club.

Oddly the trajectory of most of their players under the last 3-4 coaches.

Maybe.

Imagine them losing another homegrown lad though , and then going and spunking the money on another foreign flop.

Yes please !

They have been so badly run that they just keep getting hit with these no-win options. ManU either:

a) Pays Mainoo far too much, far too early in his career in order to keep him, and then likely sees him stall in his development and underperform

or

b) Sells him (for less than they think), and invests in the latest shiny object to catch their eye, for which they overpay dramatically, only to see that new player underperform

Their wage structure is so broken that any reasonable level of performance requires world-beating compensation to avoid resentment.

I agree with you, he is talented, he is overburdened with expectations in a manner not too dissimilar to Rashford when he broke through. I wonder which foreign club would pay anywhere near 70 million pounds for him, though. Very few can afford to pay it, let alone on a relatively untested teenager. I reckon that a domestic club will splash the cash, especially if Man United can buy an academy product of that particular domestic club, also for an inflated fee.

Offer them some money + Endo for Mainoo.

:sunglasses:

Why do you hate Endo so much?

I hope when they blast Amorim off… They give it Giggsy :0)

They will go after the good looking Phil Neville at Ipswich and rinse repeat again.

I’d rather have Endo stick around for another 2 years than use Mainoo as a substitute.

Mainoo isn’t going to get much quicker. He isn’t the quickest as well.

He might turn out to be a good player for a top 6 club in the future. But I think you’ll find that there will be other players coming up by that time who could be even better. Hopefully we find a better graduate in our youth academy or poach them from city / Chelsea academies earlier.

I don’t hate anyone, just don’t rate him as much as a portion of fans do.

42% of the people watching Goldbridge this morning voted YES for a Paul Pogba return.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m just tickled pink by football at the moment.

meanwhile , the desperate wankers at Redcafe are discussing whether Jamie Vardy would be a good option to have NOW.

I meant more in sending him to Man Utd.
