When the shit hits the fan, and they've got the wrong man, that's Scamorim! (Part 3)

I love this concept. Although I’m thankful that I have a job, I wish it was more rewarding.

Sounds more of a complete change than a changing job.
Sure you can find people who have gone with complete reset. Often if it works out one can say ‘good on you’.
My point is still very pertinent as we were talking about top level footballers staying within football. Which is in general what most people do as otherwise they, if they are not wealthy and/or ‘famous’, have to reset as you did and restart at the bottom of the heap.
It is interesting however not completely in context and I am sure that most on here understood my point even if there’s exceptions.

They’ve been talking about Mbeumo in the past tense for weeks and yet it is still rumbling on. They would fuck up a pot noodle (either kind). I wonder which month Ruben gets canned?

Love how that amount keeps going up.

Wasn’t too long ago they would try and lowball spend all summer and then pay the price. I assume they’ve been throwing these figures to the press to drive down the price Brentford wanted all a long. That or they keep low balling to the point Brentford are like lolz.

Doesn’t particularly sound like the player has his heart set eithier if Brentford can lift it time and time again.

Manchester United are an ant and modern football is the mean kid with a magnifying glass on a sunny day.

They’re totally fucked.

Have to say I’m finding their approach to offloading players the funniest thing.

Their attempts to offload unwanted players has seen them add Sancho and Rashford

Tryouts at the local Sunday League Clubs…

DCL joining United would be awesome. Come on Yanited, make it happen

Do they need any plan beyond the almight Goldbridge?

Problem with United is that they still seem to go swinging their dick around as if they were the United they were before.

They don’t have the same pull. They know it, the other clubs know it and the players know it. They’ll either have to accept that they’ll become a transition club for players now or resign themselves to paying exorbitant prices for players who aren’t quite good enough.

If they want the transition club mode , that means including release clauses etc etc. Still probably a better way to run things while they sort their shit out in the meanwhile. There are reasons why people join Brighton etc. Because they know that the club will sell them on when there’s a suitable offer on the table. United will have to become that club for the next 7-8 years if they are to survive this mess.

The previous mode of paying exorbitant wages for players just isn’t working.

No great surprise, but looks like Osimhen has rejected a move to United.

The DCL dream lives on.

Ha Ha Ha

As bad as Hojlund was last season, I would far rather roll the dice on another year of him with better options behind him than pay wages to some 28-year-old crock who had one convincing run of form in his entire career.

The number of people I have seen arguing that a top CF is the answer to all our problems and that Amorim is hard done-by because his striker can’t finish, which I think is a ludicrous over-simplification of the myriad of problems we have but if we assume there is a kernel of truth in it, then how on earth can we advocate for bringing in a guy who, even when healthy, has underperformed his expected goals something like 6 years in a row?

I know we can’t just spend our way out of this but there is a limit to how deep we should be diving into the bargain bin.

From Redcafe. Come on Mubseh . get your two cents in

It’s sort of right though. Their problems aren’t particularly striker related.

Like they can buy anyone to do the Danish Haaland’s job.
