You would hope that he could rekindle his career. I think he is still a fundamentally decent player.

Fuck me, Barcelona have fallen.

He’ll probably be motivated enough to perform for Barcelona considering this is world cup year.

But Barca won’t take up the option to purchase him.

Wonder how much they are contributing in wages :joy:

Strange move by Barca if true.

Great outcome for Rashford though.

Rashford showed at Villa last year that he can still be a decent player, albeit nowhere near the level that he’d once suggested he could reach.

But the biggest attraction for Barca, if that he is free and Utd will probably subsidise his wages. That’s the level they are shopping. Enquiring about Diaz wasn’t just unrealistic, it’s actually quite disrespectful.

This is one of those deals where neither club comes out it looking good.

Take Real , Atletico and Bilbao (to some extent) as the other three clubs who can be competitive in that Liga. Barcelona getting a player like Rashford allows them to rotate and manage the minutes of the other options on the left wing effectively. This allows them to conserve their energy for the CL and bigger games.

They wanted Williams. They couldn’t do a deal for Diaz. The only other option is a stop gap deal for Rashford till they can get a longer term replacement. The only loser in this deal is Man Utd. It’s a freehit for Barcelona and Rashford can fill his boots playing against 15 of the other 20 clubs in the league.

Supposedly Barca will pay his full wages, but Rashford will take a pay cut to facilitate the move.

There’s no obligation to buy, so I expect to see him back at United next summer.

According to Goldbridge, there’s ‘breaking news’ from a outlet in Portugal that Gyokeres is about to sign for Utd.

Arsenal in for Isak?

I wouldnt have thought so. Newcastle would have wanted Ekitike as his replacement and i dont see Arsenal paying what we were offering.

Well, it does seem like there may be something to this story of Utd snatching Gyokeres away from Arsenal. So where does that leave the Arse? Well, there’s always DCL!

Goldbridge is just a click farmer, he makes a video about every nonsense rumor as if it’s fact.

All of the reliable journos have said there no truth to United being in for him for two main reasons:

The player only wants Arsenal and will not entertain a move to any other club, and United are completely fucking skint.

Arsenal were also linked to Sesko. I would be surprised if they dont get Gyokeres though, cant imagine his relationship is strong enough to lead him to choose them over Arsenal.
