I like the kits that some of the Italian clubs have. Why can’t Adidas poach some of the designers from Macron ?
Probably too much blue or it looks like a Man Utd kit ![]()
Our white away kit looks like one of Man Utd’s recent away kits. I guess that’s the problem with football kits in general. Eventually, they’re all going to be rehashes of kits already been, just swap out the sponsors and logos, and you’re good to go.
As we all know, taste is subjective, but luckily you don’t have to decide. It’s the same old discussions every year anyway, with people who never like anything. ![]()
What’s important to me is that our players look good and feel comfortable in them. Also…that there’s at least something for everyone to like, which means it sells well.
I think Adidas have improved in the last few years compared to the drop or stagnation they had before (and not only kits, but boots as well). It’s not often that the 3 biggest clubs (might be questionable for Arsenal in the near future) in England share the same main colour and the same manufacturer. So that by default is not easy to separate. The nature of our all red home shirt doesn’t leave much room to play with, either. The first kit is often more of a safe bet one in year one under a new manufacturer, you can already bet that the next one will be with more details on it, or a bit more “risky”. Overall, a few details aside that are always there (and impossible to please everyone), I’m very happy with what they came up with in year one back with them. I think they will be really popular.
I really dislike our club font at the back and was hoping that the club would create a new one for this new era, but it seems like we’re sticking with it for another while.
Apparently they design the kits 2 years in advance.
That’s what the bloke who works for Adidas and on our kits said in the The Anfield Wrap video a few weeks ago.
Manchester airport JD Sports update:
LFC kit in the entrance. In front of Manchester clubs!
Cue meltdown.
That’s quite nice
Edit
Oddly enough I was thinking the Addias era isn’t particularly great for us.
That often crosses my mind. That Reebok kit from 2004/05 was otherworldly for me but I also loved those Adidas kits that followed. That era wasn’t a success, though, by all means. Hopefully this one makes amends for it.
Yeah maybe it’s just what it is.
Matchday shirts for the Villa game
Liverpool FC will be continuing its annual support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal with dedicated remembrance fixtures, bespoke poppy pins and auctioning poppy-embellished match-worn shirts.
Holy cripe…they are expensive. Let’s hope that the release of these lifestyle stuff also coincides with our revival of playing better footy.
