Who would you buy? (Part 2)

We do, but I´d say it goes even beyond´what Trent did. He was great at the one over the top pass to create a goal, but I want somebody who can be zipping it around in the middle, play it through the lines to get Wirtz on the ball, and keep that forward pressure. Proper midfield passing play we haven´t had for years since Thiago.

No sir. Munoz is NOT known in Spain for choking. There were angry SM comments following the classico loss, and that was just that.

You really should stop fronting about stuff. Its a very bad trait…

Abde on the other hand never was able to handle pressure at Barca over two seasons, failed at Osasuna on loan and has had his first breakthrough season at Betis, all the while showing the same worrying traits as before.

Sorry but you´re just talking rubbish. The Muñoz thing is exactly what was said about him and no idea if you live here in Spain but Abde´s stock is high right now. There was some talk in BCN if they should buy him back and Beticos do not want him to go. Muñoz has promise but he´s not yet had a season as good as Abde´s last year, though Abde also scored in the Conference League final against Chelsea (apparently he can´t handle physicality :S) the year before.

No point continuing this anyway as it´s going nowhere.

Barcola and say, Tomori/Chalobah. Minimum of two more additions without any outgoing. Ideally we do more, but I’m being conservative.

Then beyond those two, I see more of a one in one out sort of thing, but the overall quality and use to Iraola will go up.

e.g. Macca out, Wharton in.
e.g. Jones out, Nyoni promoted.
e.g. Gakpo out, Fernandez-Pardo or possibly Minteh in.
e.g. Ramsey out, Doue in.

That sort of thing.

The clock is ticking, mind, and there’s work to do!

Don’t hold out much hope to be honest.

We have been ‘preparing’ an opening bid for Barcola for a week now. Nothing so far with murmurs it is set to be rejected. Absolutely screams trying to gaslight fans into thinking we are being busy.

Whilst a lot don’t like to mention Fabrizio here for obvious reasons, he has stated that talks back underway today. Taking a weekend off are we? Joke.

Right now, I am incredibly concerned at what our recruitment and retention ideas are. We are not far away from this window passing us by and genuinely being up shit creek when a 60 game season is staring us in the face.

Withe respect, what would be the point of them doing this? One, they probably couldn’t give two shits whether the fans think they’re busy or not and two, it’s not like they’re going to convince us we signed Barcola if we haven’t.

Isn’t it much more likely they’re trying to keep things under wraps until such time as there’s significant movement. Having been burned on the Diomande thing it makes complete sense to keep things close to their chest.

The joke is thinking this is remotely how this type of works.

Can’t remember who it was suggesting Chalobah as a homegrown depth option but you can scrap that idea.

I’m not sure we were ‘burned’. I’m sure the club were aware of the situation and were just seeing if they could benefit from it in some way.

Also, there were some stories floating around that we had been wanting Barcola as our priority. If that is true, our offer for Diomande may have been just to try to get PSG to speed up their buying activity in order to get them to commit to selling Barcola?

Stop talking about what you don’t know. Its a bad look

Time to leave it alone both of you, I reckon.

I just mean burned as in they thought the encouragement they’d had meant it was worth making the offer only to find it was perhaps agents testing the water elsewhere.

We probably don’t want to be seen as a pawn in Barcola getting a new contract at PSG and so won’t want an offer to be made public unless we’re all but signed on the dotted line.

Jules Kounde solves a lot of our defensive problems being both a CB and RB. Wasn’t he available earlier in the window?

The word has been he’s a player Barca will sell if they get a good fee. They’re well covered at right back and centre back.

Still, we need at least one more prime age CB.

Its unfortunate that Yildiz is not likely to leave Juve but he had a great breakout season with them and seems to be able to be competent with both feet and had played in both wings and loves scoring from long shots too.

anyone else re reading this looking for the horrible joke?

You never know.

They just signed a Bosnian winger who is highly rated for about 30mil. He plays in Yildiz position.
