Who would you buy?

Another between the lines type of player which we usually don’t play with. Unless they’re named Bobby Firmino or recently Cody Gakpo, but then again, that’s also a different role to what Szoboszlai does.

So Boss Lie

Where’s the complication in saying that? Glad people seem on board with the idea I threw out, great dead ball player also.

Klopp name dropped Mount today.

'Mason was injured i think. Was on the bench first time. Might play‘

Seems to be well informed about his situation :grimacing::see_no_evil:

Three midfielders and a CB incoming.

Is that Joanna Durkan’s opinion/wish?

Liverpool believe Mason Mount’s age, experience and skillset make him an ideal fit for what is expected to be a significant summer rebuild under Jurgen Klopp.

They have admired the player for some time - they were close to signing him as an Under-16 player when Michael Beale, the current Rangers manager and former Chelsea academy coach, was with the club.

Mount/Bellingham, too much noise coming from the so called insiders. Normally we don’t hear a peep just before they sign, both will not be on our midfield next year.

A number of our players signed while Klopp has been in charge have been flagged in advance by the media.

Hopefully the return of Lampard sees a change in fortune for Mount at Chelsea.

Prefer the Mac Allister noise, but I’m guessing he’s a Bellingham alternative.

Mac Allister - Ugarte - Bellingham

Would be lovely!

Certainly would.

Probably end up with

Mount-Fabinho-Maddison.

Hmm Mount Bellingham is found in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Therefore, we can assume that Mount will sign a new contract and Jude will join Chelsea.

Sometimes it comes out of the blue or there’s a very short window before a name appears and the deal gets done. This time it’s a bit different because the whole world knows what we’re aiming for this summer. And we’re obviously linked with a few English players (or non-English, but playing in the PL), so it’s harder to keep it quiet. Even if we wouldn’t be interested in a few, there would be noise.

Still enough time and scenarios could happen where in a few weeks or months we might get some totally new names.

There is also a Bellingham Station in London.

London is in the UK, on planet earth, as is Liverpool. #donedeal

We will see us linked to every decent English midfielder there is the coming months. I believe it when I see the lean …

Right now, we’re at Conor Gallagher, who knows what’s next! We’re in months now when it’s slowly decision time. Maybe from March onwards, sometimes even sooner (we probably decided on Bellingham since last summer when we missed out on Tchouameni). But what makes it difficult this time is that we have no idea what we’ll qualify for (if for anything) and how much will that affect our budget. Plus, the sporting director question where the current one is outgoing. Hence why Klopp admits it’s very active behind the scenes.

Main thing for me is what’s the budget?

If we are signing three midfielders, I’m fine with top price Bellingham, mid priced Ugarte, and say, low priced Sukic.

We have traditionally shopped at all levels of the market, and I hope that continues with the midfield refresh that is coming.

In reality the budget is dependant on the types of deals we can secure. If we can do business like the Thiago and Jota deals, where the upfront fee was nominal, and the remainder paid out in instalments, then there may be more available for up front fee paying where required.

Even when the media now say “Klopp will get significat backing”, that still doesn’t mean I trust we can get, I don’t know: Bellingham, Mount, Caicedo, a CB and a goalie. That’s a hell of a lot of money. Not until I see it. I believe we would’ve been in for a cheper one like Laimer (to balance out getting a more expensive one, or possibly two), but he’s practically gone to Bayern.

Might mean the back of Mo. Would you take that?
