Who would you buy?

Hello. Yes.

Are we signing anybody?

If we are in for him too, and Kerkez chooses Man Utd, bullet dodged. He lacks good judgment, which we don’t need, and he is probably money driven, which we don’t need.

Found one:

Age: 76 (seems about right);

known for: “his ability to make dry, hard-to-understand economics and economic policy relevant”

Congratulations @cynicaloldgit

What do we think of Ola Aina on a free, to provide some solid, experienced competition and cover for Bradley? If Trent is leaving.

Anyone know much about Nathaniel Brown, 21 year old left back at Eintracht Frankfurt?

Never seen him play but his stats are off the chart.

We’ve got a Frankfurter

Didn’t know he was on a free. He has impressed me this season. Just put him in my fantasy team. He would add good depth at right back, if he would play second fiddle to Bradley.

Too many vowels.

No brainer if you ask me. He has been solid this season. On a different note, Forest fans got cocky last game. We need to win to shut them up.

We play football, not Scrabble.

Would be useful for those situations where you only have vowels and one consonant.

Yeah, didn’t know that either until last night, when the commentator mentioned it. Saw some links with City.

Aina’s had a good half season, he’s in my team of the season for the first half, but I don’t think he’s good enough overall. Technically he just isn’t the level we expect, he’s one of the most dispossesed players in Europe and a poor passer.

Diligent defensively and a lot of energy but that’s not really enough. I think Gomez and Bradley would be a better duo for RB than bringing in Aina.

I like Gomez and Bradley too. If I have it right, does the scenario you are setting out mean we would sign another central defender, if Gomez is considered a right back?

VVD, Konate, Quansah, plus new cb signing? (And presumably Gomez in a pinch?)

I think I read another post where you said the cb options out there are a lot more interesting than the rb options, so we might as well stick with the two great options we have in a post-Trent world - Bradley and Gomez, and shop for a central defender?

In terms of overall business, between January and summer, assuming Trent leaves and VVD stays, that would mean:

Central defender
Left back
Possible midfielder

Then if Salah goes we would obviously need to do something there, we may also have other implications for the front line, with Darwin Nunez not exactly secure for the duration.

It feels like we will have at least 3-4 significant changes going into next season, plus presumably the usual smattering of kids.

Edit, I’m doing names!

Central defender - Loic Bade
Left back - Kerkez
Midfielder - Douglas Luiz

If Mo departs - Kudus
If Nunez departs - Jonathan David

Kerkez assist at the weekend was a thing of beauty. Could see him linking up with Diaz or Gakpo really well

Yeah I think it makes more sense, gets Gomez into a settled role rather than jumping around all over the field and we can try and get younger at centre back where we know we need a succession plan eventually anyway.

Let’s go. :sunglasses:

Endo out, Kobbie in.

I’d rather keep Endo, thanks.

I’d rather have Tchouameni.
