Always rated him highly. Hes made a couple of mistakes this season but generally I think he’s been good amongst a dumpster pile over there.
I think he’d be a very good long term player for anyone in the PL.

I’ve compared his stats over on FBref with those of Huijsen, just for the sake of fun - I’d say he compares favourably. He and Dibling will likely be in demand once Southampton go down, I liked what I’ve seen of them this season.
I have the impression that Harwood-Bellis would especially benefit from playing in a side that’s not as suicidal and uncompromising as Martin’s Southampton. The basics are all there, he’s well-rounded physically and has decent technical ability.
I’m susceptible to silly ideas but there’s now a nagging part of my mind that says that he and Gittens could be club’s signings this summer.
If we signed 2 players from a relegated Southampton the Transfer window champions fan base would go into meltdown.
Just watch us get Walker-Peters on a free to provide backup/competition for Bradley for a short while.
That’s why I suggested only one!
I think Harwood-Bellis will end up going to someone like Villa or Brighton. I don’t mind the idea of him being van Dijk’s backup for a couple of seasons but I imagine he is more likely to take a more medium sized step
Oh, is it the buy-a-centreback-from-Southampton time already?
We did not win a match.
This place will be lit on fire by the PlayStation managers tomorrow.
Apparently, we’ve got to sell eleven players, which presumably means we have to buy eleven too. Let’s have your lists please.
Only 11?
Looking at today’s game we need someone physical, fast, fit and technical to come into games as an alternative to when Macca or Szob have to be replaced or rested so we can maintain the intensity against the better teams.
Players like Elliot are great against teams that are less technical on the ball or don’t dominate the ball
Turkish teenager Arda Guler wants to leave Real Madrid as he continues to struggle for game time, with Inter Milan and AC Milan reportedly interested in the 20-year-old midfielder. (Sport - in Spanish)
So he’s a 20-year-old teenager?
Anyway, we should be competing for his signature if he is planning to leave Madrid.
Under FSG we are a sell to buy club. We have a number of left wingers so if funds are needed to buy player replacements, such as the big hole at left back for Robertson, somebody will have to go to raise those funds.
Guler is talented and his main playing position is listed as right winger. But is the 20 year old polished enough and physical enough to play wing for us at the Premier League level?
He will definitely be looking for more playing time because that’s why he wants to leave a huge club like Real Madrid. He might have to settle for a smaller club such as Frankfurt or another Bundesliga club first to cut his teeth and build up demand for him as a starting winger.
Looks like we want to raid Bournemouth this time for LB Milo Kerkez. Honestly, I’m in favor of it.
No we’re not. We do however have a really large squad (and wage bill) that requires players to be sold/ moved on to make way for new players.
I don’t really remember this place ever being flooded by PlayStation managers but we all expected the club to reshuffle the playing staff in the summer regardless of the outcome of PSG match.
I’m envious of PSG’s youthful exuberance but I’m even more jealous of Enrique basically turning their CL fortunes over three games or so and emerging as one of the favourites to win it.
There’s a reason why Slot was so cautious in the build-up to the match and that he openly tried to rally the supporters. He knows best where this side is lacking quality, so I expect him and Hughes to address it in the summer. I’m even more certain that we’ll see a greater turnover of players at Liverpool than we usually do.
Some people having little meltdowns, apparently so spoiled that winning the Premier League and possibly the League Cup just isn’t enough. I was born in 1992, for my entire childhood and early adulthood Liverpool winning a Premier League title was a something of a pipedream. Now we are on course for our 2nd in 5 years and apparently that means we are so accustomed to it that failure to win the Champions League ASWELL means half the team has to leave!
What I do think is that the squad needs some rejuvenation, get a little younger and a big focus on power.
We’ve got a few players who don’t really contributenwhen it comes to the physical sode of the game. I think we need to be able to cover ground quickly, repeatedly, win duels consistently and be able to put ourselves on the frontfoot. You don’t need all your players to fit that type but I think we are slightly too lightweight.
By that metric I think Tsimikas (lightweight), Gomez (fragile) and Jota (lightweight and fragile) could be allowed to leave as well as Nunez for simply being too inconsistent.
To me Robertson is still a great player but I don’t think he should be the starting LB anymore. He’s 31 and slowing down so I think I could see him becoming more of a backup option and a training ground leader with a job of keeping standards high. As such Tsimikas is not needed as he isn’t good enough to hold down the job. That makes a new LB priority - Milos Kerkez fits every metric for me. He’s fast, strong, highly technical and he’s hard-working. Absolute priority player.
Then we need another long term option at CB even if van Dijk stays. He’s still a racehorse so that means we don’t need an immediate successor but someone needs to be there, ideally left footed, to gradually replace him.
Then we would need a new forward if, as in my scenario, Nunez and Jota leave. Again that needs to be someone with those physical traits I’ve been talking about.
Finally another midfielder is likely needed. The group we have right now just need one more so they aren’t quite as tired.
So I’m looking at Kerkez, a 21/22ish CB, a young depth forward and another athletic midfielder.
