With 3 gold in Nordic Combined, Oftebro is now historic. Only Sampa Lajunen has done that in a Winter Olympics before.
This Olympics has been totally crazy for Norway. When some favorites failed, others managed to take golds we absolutely had not expected.
At current, we are at 16 Gold medals, which is our previous national record. I am starting to think we can get 18. Only 5 more medals to beat our previous record of total medals in a Winter Olympics. It’s kind of baffling.
And we have the greatest competition left. The vaunted 50km in Classic (by far the competition that Norwegians rate highest), where Klæbø is a super strong favorite (but he is not even the only one who is likely to get medals in it, as our Men’s team in Cross Country is the strongest it has been in decades.
