Its a double swoop with Marmoush as well. Fee loaded on the Savinho side to avoid City paying money to Frankfurt as part of Marmoush’s sell on clause.
Feck me, everyone wants action and signings, we make an offer for a player, yes injured, and again everyone whinges ![]()
Minteh for me with his style and work ethic is the best of a bad bunch as an option on the right and still has potential for improvement.
Pretty sure he means 4 total, so we’d (hopefully) have Barcola, Munoz, Rio and Minteh, and then perhaps Mbaye as the young project winger, or Koumas if Mbaye isn’t bought.
He´s quick, decently tricky and direct. So in that sense he would add qualities to our right side (or left when needed).
Though I am not sure he has that really top quality of the very best wide players in the world.
I have largely ignored the discussion on here over him as an option because I assumed Brighton would demand closer to 100m than 50. I have no idea if this interest is real, and if it is what Brighton’s number actually is, but anyone does a deal for him for anywhere near 50 then that’s very good business in this market. Munoz at 80% of that is IMO considerably less than 80% as likely to work out here than Minteh

Sorry, made me laugh
Agreed. Not enough confectionary puns

It puts into perspective how bonkers of a club city are.
They aborted their development of Echeverri (who? I hear you ask) to accelerate their signing of Savinho from within their own system, fucking over Troyes in the process. Later that winter they spent a lot of money on the combination of Nico, Khusanov, Ries (who? I hear you ask), and Marmoush, and by next season it is likely only Khusanov will be left at the club and any who stay will not be wanted
I read that as IBE and I thought “fuck me, we’re really desperate, aren’t we?!”
Not to mention somehow flipping both Trafford and Reijnders for a profit after a season despite both being distinctively average in the few outings they got.
No doubt Nico Gonzalez will fetch a tidy profit too despite his limited impact.

Going Newcastle for 70 odd apparently. That said I live in Manchester and the city fans I know are fuming about it, especially given the links they’ve had to Cunto Fernandez at Chelsea. They really rate him, think he should stay and step up
