I was considering posting the caveat of don’t believe everything you read on social media, but didn’t have any reason to doubt it. Clearly I need to be more cynical — we’re scraping the barrel for good news given the last couple of weeks. ![]()
Kosovo are stunning. They started with a 4-nil trashing in Switzerland, but since then, they have adapted their game, and gone from strength to strength. Doing the double over Sweden is no small feat. They are very much in the race. One away game left against a solid and well organized Slovenia, and then the last home game against us.
But one has also to say that Sweden look like the ghosts of their usual selves. Absolutely dismal, and for the time being, clearly the weakest team of the four in that group.
Good. I hope they’re out and can play the kids.
Not mathematically. Two wins in the last two games, and they still can get spot two if Kosovo lose their two remaining games.
I bet Simon Jordan blames Liverpool for it ![]()
He scores more then Isak … ![]()
So, Jon Dahl Tomasson has been sacked from Sweden coaching duties. Rumour has it that Potter wants the job.
I’d imagine Potter wants any job he can get at this stage.
Kerkez with more beautiful defending, (not) holding the line and keeping his hands behind his back with nobody around him.

At least Dom got an assist.
And an equaliser

Any excuse MH
More than a rumour. he has a house in Sweden and he’s there right now touting for the job.
It’s a bit of a risky strategy, going around buying houses in all the countries that might have job opportunities coming up, but good luck to him and top marks for initiative ![]()

That Chelsea payout is paying dividends
What the fuck is wrong with the AFA? Playing a key player in a meaningless friendly.
He couched Østersunds for several years and has relations to Sweden. It is where he made his managerial mark, not in England.
There have been a lot of rumours that Manchester United is also interested in him if and when, their current punching ball is sacked. But likely they will be too late and then Potter will already be managing Sweden and they end up with someone else, likely worse.
Pretty damn sure that the Swedish football association will give him the job.
Argentina have played a blame game with us for a number of years now.
